Lucy is pretty, but not outstandingly beautiful. She can look nice without much effort, but has tomboyish tendencies from when she was younger. She does not have much muscle, but jogs occasionally. Lucy is 5'6" and 120 pounds. She is slim, but not unhealthily so. She slouches when she is sitting, but has better posture when she is standing or walking. She has blond, wavy hair that is currently longer than shoulder length when it is down, however, she often puts it up in a bun or ponytail while doing homework or studying. She has fair skin that sunburns easily. Lucy has ice blue eyes with specks of gold near the iris that appear almost clear when she's out on a sunny day. Her eyes are framed by short eyelashes, which she dislikes. She has a round face, with high cheekbones. She has smaller hands and feet than most girls her height, and still shops in the kids' section for gloves and shoes (usually while pretending that she is buying a gift for a younger cousin).
Lucy wears little makeup on a daily basis, often only putting on concealer and mascara. Although her ears are pierced, she only wears earrings on special occasions. She does not wear a lot of jewelry, but is often seen with a miniature Faberge egg necklace that her mother gave her when she was young. Lucy generally dresses with the weather. When she is not in her uniform, she can be seen wearing tank tops, shorts, and short, flows dresses in the summer, and sweaters and jeans in the winter. She wears a small, silver watch on her left wrist. Lucy bites her nails when she is nervous, and almost never paints them.

overall personality[/i]
Lucy has always been a thinker. Shy is cynical and sarcastic, but tries to be considerate and understanding to others. She has always been the quietest one in her family, but is also the most observant. Lucy often gets lost in her own thoughts, trying to unravel the world. She daydreams often about the future. Lucy does not mind being the center of attention, but if given the choice, she would rather be a wallflower. Her otherwise loud and attention seeking siblings do not understand this, but are thankful that they do not have to compete for attention.
Many see Lucy as cold and indifferent, but she is not. She is friendly and sociable once you get to know her, but she is wary of strangers, afraid that they will judge her. She does not vocalize her emotions much, and because of this, seems cold and robotic to many. Lucy is a hard worker, and tries her best in academic and non-academic activities. However, she is stubborn, and will not do something that she does not want to without debating it first. Lucy is competitive, and does her best to be better than everyone else, although she fails sometimes. She strongly believes that she can do anything that she sets her mind on, without help, even of she needs it. She is fiercely independent, and dislikes conversing with people and has trouble sharing her thoughts.
Lucy keeps a small group of friends, and enjoys having intellectual and regular conversations with them. She does her best to not judge others, believing that some difference of opinion keeps the world from becoming too monotonous, but over-analyzes people's actions too often. She dislikes people who try to change the beliefs and habits of others. She values intelligence and acceptance, but is understanding when people lack the former. She is annoyed at people who do not make the effort to understand.

history[/i]
Lucy was the born Lucille Ash Carmichael on January 14, 2005 to Eddie and Karen Carmichael. She was their third and final child, born shortly after her twin brother. She was named Lucille after her mother's great aunt, a muggle who was killed by Voldemort, (although her mother did not know this until after her discovery of the wizarding world) and Ash because it is the favorite tree (and wand material) of her father's family. Her family is very close, and they get together for every birthday and holiday. As a child, she played under a large ash tree in the Carmichaels' front yard, or read in the treehouse that her father built for her and her siblings. At the age of 4, she received a toy broomstick, and began to learn to fly. By the age of eight, she flew well enough to join a junior quidditch team, but soon learned that although she enjoyed flying, her fear of bludgers kept her from being an effective quidditch player.
The first time that she accidentally performed magic was at her (and her brother's) 5th birthday party, before either of her siblings. While she was supposed to be blowing out the candles, she blew up the cake instead, covering everyone and everything with frosting. Her frosting coated, mildly traumatized brother complained, until their father repaired the cake ("Who knew that reparo works on decimated cakes"?) As a child, she was a picky eater, and later discovered that she was lactose intolerant.
Lucy disliked her siblings as a child, but later accepted them, especially her brother, who didn't seem to have magic until after his arrival at Hogwarts. She was incredibly jealous when her sister received her Hogwarts acceptance letter, and ran about the house singing when she got hers. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, as she wanted, although her brother ended up in Hufflepuff.
