A member of staff will look over your application and critique/deny/accept it as soon as possible. We try to check this board every day, so you shouldn't wait too long.

Board the magnificent red steam engine and begin your journey to Hogwarts. Take advantage of the food trolley, as it's quite a long journey, and be sure to change into your school robes before you reach Hogsmeade Station.

The basement, just below the ground floor of the castle, houses the kitchens and most notably, the Hufflepuff Common Room. It quite possibly has the cosiest atmosphere of all the floors in the castle, having a particularly homey feel about it.

The main level of the castle holds the Great Hall, with staircases leading to higher floors and down to the lower levels. Transfiguration lessons are also on this floor, as well as the Staff Room, but students aren't allowed in there, so I don't know why I'm telling you that...

The first floor of the castle is where you can find the classrooms for Muggle Studies, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and History of Magic, along with a few unused rooms that you can usually get away with using for spell practice or something.

The second floor of the castle never used to get used much, but was damaged greatly in the great Battle of Hogwarts, and rebuilt years later. It's rooms have been turned into training areas, where students learn self defence spells and undertake duelling practice, which is now considered an even more important part of the curriculum, after past events. There is a large hall on this floor that is very special to students and staff alike, as it holds artifacts and information about the war. Sort of a shrine, a place of respect for those who lost their lives protecting the castle.

(On a more shallow note, Moaning Myrtle's bathroom can be found here. I'd seriously advise you to hold it in until you can get to another floor...)

The third floor of the castle is probably one of the busiest floors in the building, housing the Hospital wing, the Trophy Room, Armor Gallery, a few secret passages, a forbidden corridor, and Charms lessons.

The fourth floor of the castle is home to the Library. The new Student Lounge, open to people from all houses, is located here to encourage unity and comaraderie between the houses. There is also a set of student bathrooms here (not haunted by whining ghosts), and a rather abandoned corridor that might be useful for, erm... well, we'll let you decide what you want to use it for...

The fifth floor of the castle is special for a very perculiar reason. During the Battle of Hogwarts, a curse misfired, and turned the main corridor to glass. No one has ever found a way to reverse the spell, and so the Glass Corridor has become quite famous as one of the castle's more intriguing features. Aside from that, this floor is pretty quiet, which is why the Prefect's Bathroom can be found here nestled in amongst empty classrooms, one of which is used as Dueling Club Headquarters.

The sixth floor of the castle is where Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and Mythology classes take place, so it's mainly inhabited by the more intelligent students of the bunch, thus, the bathrooms are hardly used and so pretty spotless. Just so you know.

The seventh floor of the castle has quite a few storage rooms, along with a couple of secret passages, but, none are so interesting as the Room of Requirement, which also resides here, but is unknown to many in the castle...

Ahh, the Quidditch Pitch! All Quidditch matches and team practices are held here, along with Flying lessons for those wishing to learn how to handle a broom. And don't even try and break into the changing rooms to steal that snitch you've had your eye on... only team members have a key. ;]

Sub-board: FLYING CLASS

The grounds at Hogwarts are vast, and it would probably take you days to explore just the parts closest to the castle, though it's always nice, on a sunny day, to spend some time lounging in the grass. Care of Magical Creatures lessons are held out here, and the Herbology Greenhouses are only a short walk from the castle.

The lake is a beautiful, yet dangerous sight to behold. Twinkling and glistening in the sunlight, it holds horrors beyond your wildest dreams. So before you take a dip, just think to yourself, "do I really want to be eaten alive by a giant squid...?"

The Whomping Willow was planted many moons ago, though not many know why, and often wonder as to the reason someone would place a huge, thrashing, deadly tree in the middle of a school... It seems like a great idea, no? 8/

A small, dark passageway at the end of Diagon Alley will lead you into dangerous territory. Filled with dark wizards and dark artefacts, Knockturn Alley is not for the faint of heart.

This beautiful, quaint little village just outside the castle, is one of the few wizarding villages in the country. Popular for school trips, there are plenty of shops here nestled amongst the tiny houses. And don't forget to check out the Shrieking Shack, don't get too close, though... it's rumoured to be haunted...

The Ministry of Magic is quite an important place, which is why it blends into the Muggle world seamlessly. Swarming with thousands of witches and wizards, it holds plenty of jobs, and a lot of life-altering occasions within it's walls.

The main Magical hospital in Britain, St Mungo's is rather large, and swarming with all sorts of medical cases that you would probably never dream existed. The entrance to St. Mungo's is concealed behind an abandoned red-brick London department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. on a Muggle street.

There are quite a few wizarding villages dotted about the country, and here you will find them all. The likes of Godric's Hollow, Ottery St. Catchpole, and others can be RPed in here.

It's no secret that there are a lot of Muggle-born students at Hogwarts, and they have homes, too. So, wherever you may be from, you can come here to RP your character at home, or anywhere they might want to visit, since this board covers just about anywhere in the UK that it may be.

Anything and everything (within reason) that you (out of character) would like to talk about, you can do so here. Start up a thread about anything you like and get chatting to other members. We're a lovely bunch... really! ;] Also, there's a little board in here for absences that may come in handy.
