Some people find Gretta attractive, some don't. She has a slight curve to her figure that keeps her from looking like a surf board and large, hypnotising blue eyes. She has a rather innocent look about her and looks like a young doe. She's often asked if she's old enough to be out of school as she looks so young with her fair hair and young skin.
Her eye brows are ever so slightly darker than her hair colour and her eyes lashes are a soft brown, she has a rather memorable face that's almost heart-shaped. She has beautifully plum lips and fair skin that she's not afraid to tan every now and then.
She's usually in dark places, doing stock take for her shop and so doesn't care too much about her appearance when she's alone, but when she has a customer or stepping out for the night she likes to look well presented and loves putting on a frock and the frillier the better!

The first word that springs to most peoples mind when they think of Gretta is 'quirky' and sometimes even 'eccentric' and many believe that she takes after her great grandfather, the great Garrick Ollivander. She enjoys everything and always has a positive thing to say no matter what the situation.
She's a sweet and kind natured girl that would never harm another living soul. She grew up in the muggle world and never really had much of an interest about them while at Hogwarts considering she'd been raised in that way of life thanks to two squib parents and two squib siblings.
She has a habit of playing with her bottom lip while thinking of what wand to make next and how it should look. She's rather don of fiddling with her fingers, doing doodles and anything else that keeps her fingers occupied when she's not sleeping or making wands.
Gretta takes a great interest in her families histories and particularly likes the Ollivander side of things and so loves a good story telling, though she can get a little restless if still for too long. She's a big fan of Quidditch but doesn't have any particular team that she cheers for, she just enjoys a good match and has hardly any competitive streak.

The Ollivander business was started in 358 BCE and passed down from generation to generation and when only daughters were born they kept their surname as it held great respect through out the wizarding world and great standing. All of Gretta's lineage is important to her but most important was starting with Garrack, her great-grandfather, born in 1920, then her grandfather born in 1949, her father born in 1974 and then of course her own birth in 2001.
Many wonder how Gretta came to be the owner of her heritage so early in in her life and the short-ish answer was because of her grandfather and father having no interest. Her grandfather had no interest because he chose to try and make his own career, a small apothecary in Godric's Hollow that never really took off and her father was a squib and resented most things magical. Gretta however was the opposite, magic and her magical families intrigued her though both her parents and siblings were squibs she was the only magical one and the only one to get to attend Hogwarts.
She was born a middle child very closely between her siblings and always felt a little left out and a little different. She was always able to make things happen and she was frequently in trouble for using her magic even though she'd never meant it but her parents both being squibs had never gone through what she was going through. Her siblings didn't help much either, always tattling on her.
Gretta enjoyed spending time with her mother's family but her father's family were where she spent most of her time. She enjoyed visiting her great grandfather and learning all about wands and all though he was getting on in years he still kept up with the family business and Gretta distinctly remembers making her first wand. Willow, Phoenix Feather, 11 inches at the age of seven. She has it in her bedroom, sat in a glass case on her dresser.
Gretta lived with her family but wasn't ever really a part of it, she was the odd one out and all though her mother was more supportive than her father, no one was as supportive as her great grandfather.
Time came for Gretta to leave for Hogwarts and she felt relieved. She'd learnt all about it from her great-grandfather and was proudly sorted into the House of Ravenclaw, the same as he.
Years passed and Gretta started off slow but became an exceptional student, always wanting to learn more, thirty for knowledge no matter what the subject. She was prefect and head girl and after her studies were done her great-grandfather paid for her to travel the world, a dream she'd had since her fifth year.
During the Christmas holidays of her fifth year she, along with her mother and siblings, witnessed the death of her father. He was hit by a car before their very eyes
After a year of travelling she returned back to England having missed her home though her mother didn't want much to do with her (and had never wanted much to do with her after the death of her father as her mother believes that despite having down trodden Gretta's magical abilities, she should have used magic to save her father, somehow Gretta never got it across to her mother that she couldn't have for the event was unforeseeable and she could not turn back time) and so Gretta moved in with her great grandfather to his little shop in Diagon Alley and soon he was refreshing her on all the wand making techniques.
It's been a year since she returned from her trip and she loves her job. She's spruced up the place a little, making it appear a little less dank though the walls are all lined with boxes and the only light is whatever shines in from the window or orbs from her wand and her great-grandfather has retired to a little cottage on the sea front with an Order of Merlin, First class for his contribution to the wizarding world in the form of his wands and thousands of suitable matches.
