physical
physical appearance
Lily looks a lot like her mother. With a heart shaped face, small chin, pale skin and pretty ruby lips, she is going to be beautiful when she's grown up. Her eyes are a gorgeous bright blue hue, and always sparkling with secrets and intelligence. She has a big smile, and her brothers often tease her that she has big teeth, but she just laughs it off. At least they're straight, and white! She has a neat nose, and small, straight brows the same colour as her hair. Her hair itself is a vibrant shade of red, full of tumbling curls that fall just past her shoulders. She sometimes like to play about with it and straighten it so that she looks a bit more grown up, as it can get a bit wild when left to it's own devices.
Lily is only small, around five feet and two inches in height, though she swears she's grown half an inch over the summer, and hopes to grow at least an inch or two more over the next couple of years so that she can stand up for herself better and not have to break her neck looking up at everyone. She is very pale, and likes it that way, since she'd look a bit daft with a tan and hair that colour. She's quite graceful and agile on her feet, and a pretty good dancer, though she can be very heavy handed when she's not concentrating, and even a little bit of a clutz.

overall personality
Lily is very much like her namesake. She is strong and self-sufficient, very intelligent and fiercely loyal. She loves her family, and is always happy to spend any and every free second she has with them. She cherishes memories from her childhood the most, and is such a warm, caring girl. She is friendly and loving, and overly generous sometimes, giving everything she has to any given cause. She likes causes, anything good or helpful that might change things for the better, Lily will be right there cheering it on and joining in as much as possible. She wants to make the world a better place, and is a great believer in helping people less fortunate, and fighting bullies so that people can live in peace.
It's not unusual to find her in an impromptu duel somewhere around the castle, defending some strange first year against someone much bigger and stronger than herself. She doesn't car about her own safety in situations like this, she will just jump in and try and save the day. She always fights for the underdog, and is so stubborn that her friends and family often get frustrated with her over it. She makes friends easily because of how accepting and caring she is, and is a little chatterbox when she gets going, it can be hard to shut her up, especially if you hit on a subject she's interested in.
Lily loves to study and learn, and fights her hardest every day to get O's on every single lesson she takes. Her favourites are potions (which she has an amazing knack for) and Defence Against the Dark Arts (because she's eager to learn how to protect her family). She is like a sponge in her learning, and will absorb everything she is being told and store it away for later use, and is usually looked upon with high praise by her Professors. Lily is also very independent, and likes to be able to do things for herself, rather than relying on others for help, though if she's had a good try and still can't do something, she will usually go to her brothers first, as she can be quite clingy with them, especially after what happened to their dad.

history
Lily was born and raised in a lovely little house in Godric's Hollow. Her parents were the infamous Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, meaning there was a lot of pressure on little Lily's head from the word go. She was always a sunny, bright baby, very vocal and very clingy with her parents and big brothers. She learned to be a tomboy right away, thanks to James and Albus having a huge influence on her all of the time. She would chase them around as soon as she learned to walk, and demand to be included in their games, or she would scream the house down in a fit. She could walk and talk quite early, and loved to read toddler books all of the time, rather than playing kids games or engaging in any other form of entertainment. The only other thing that would catch her attention was chatting for hours. She was one of those children that always asks "Why?".
As a child, Lily was very happy, she had everything she could ever want, brilliant big brothers, a beautiful mother, and the coolest dad in the world. She looked up to all of them equally, and her happiest memories are from the days before James went off to Hogwarts. The days when they were all at home, and she's old enough to remember the fun things they would do together. She adored visiting her aunts and uncles and grandparents, always feeling like The Burrow was a second home to her, and there was nothing wuite like Grandma's cooking. She took to flying with great enthusiasm, and decided she wanted to play on her team when she went to school. School was something she was always impatient for. She would pester the life out of her parents to ask the Headmistress if she could attend early, but they would just tell her to wait until her time. In the meantime, she read books, and demanded that her parents teach her things she might need to know, so she was a little bit ahead of the other first years.
Aged eleven, her time came, and she nearly fainted from excitement in the morning, getting ready to head to the train station. Her parents worried about her for the first few months, since she was so hyper about the whole thing. She settled in nicely, though, excited about everything and eager to see and do as much as possible. She made friends, and threw herself into lessons, excelling immediately. Her brothers looked out for her of course, as well as her cousins, but she didn't really need it, except for at times when she would get herself in trouble arguing the toss with bullies or snobs. She hated detention, and still does, but it's a small price to pay for being able to stand up for herself and others.
At the end of her third year at school, the world turned upside down for Lily. Her father was found dead in their home, killed by people calling themselves the Dark Avengers. She was there when his body was discovered, but Lily never got to see, since she was the last to enter the house, and so banished from the room before the image could scar her forever. She was confused and angry, and it took her a long time to cry for the loss of her father. All she really wanted to do was hurt the people who had done it. Hurt them like they had hurt her perfect family. She felt lost for a long time, and still does to this day, as it hasn't been that long. She became very clingy with her brothers, and protective over her mother, even though she is young. She wants nothing more in life than to see her fathers killers locked up in Azkaban for life, and to do something to stop these kinds of people from roaming about in the world, able to perform such horrors.
