Medusa stands at 5'6 and is not a skinny girl by any means. She has curves in all of the right places and prides herself on not being like those girls you see in magazines. She firmly believes that having a bit of meat on the bones is a good thing and is quite attached to her modest sized bust and shapely legs.
Her hair is jet black although she has charmed it to be streaked with different colours before now, simply to see if her parents would notice. Although she prefers it long it is currently cut to her shoulders and permanently charmed to fall in waves and some curls about her face. Not that it stops her from having it straight every now and then of course. Medusa does like to wear it loose but when working in the greenhouses or in the potions lab it is always either tied back or pushed back with a hairband.
Her eyes are such a pale green some people think them to be grey and are quite literally the windows to her soul. They are constantly brightened with the energy she seems to exude and never seem to dull unless something is seriously bothering her. Medusa isn't one for make up but she loves her eyes and will always accentuate them with eyeliner and eye shadows but of course doesn't go too mad on that front during school hours.
Her other make up tends to be quirky and it is no surprise to see her with pink lips one day to black another. Her clothing tends to be equally mad although again, during school hours she keeps to her school uniform.

Medusa has a very sunny personality, one that many wouldn't associate with a name like hers. She is a kind soul who enjoys helping others in any way she can, whether that be with homework or just to be a shoulder to cry on. Chirpy is probably the best way to describe her. She is rarely down and depressed and seems to spend most of her time bouncing from one place to another, never slowing down and just generally being a sunny nuisance to those members of her house. Although by now most people are used to her popping up out of nowhere and trying to cheer them up.
Medusa is something of a joker and if she can't take the micky out of herself then no one can! She likes to make people laugh and is a frequent customer at Weasleys Wizard Wheezes and if she hadn't already made her mind up to be either a medi witch or a midwife she would have loved to have become an employee there. She is a self confessed fan of the Weasley twins and think they were ahead of their time when they left school all those years ago.
Of course, like anyone Medusa isn't all sunshine and roses. She does have a serious side but this usually comes out when she is surrounded by mess. She suffers slightly from OCD meaning that she cannot abide to be in a messy room and spends more time than she likes to think about cleaning both her dorm room and the common room...if she could get into the boy's dorms she would probably clean there as well. She doesn't like the thought of the House Elves having to clean up their mess but isn't stupid enough to try and set them free, knowing that the elves live for their work and the families they serve (doesn't mean she has to like it of course!).
Along with her slight OCD tendency she likes to be organised. Everything in her dorm area has a specific place and if anyone moves her things she has been known to get very annoyed. Her school bag is always ready before she goes to bed and her homework will be done on time and if she can help it days before it is due. She hates being late although knows that sometimes it is just out of her hands. Being a prefect means she can channel these things into her duties and is a very effective leader of her house. If she doesn't organise them then who will?

Medusa was born to a Greek pureblood family in Athens. It was never a particularly loving family since her father was very focused on his career and her mother was nothing more than a trophy wife who was there simply to provide him with that good family image that people looked for when one was involved in the government.
Brought up with a nanny in place of a mother Medusa was given everything she could possibly want in terms of physical possessions. She had the best toys, the best bedroom and even had a pony -despite not being old enough to actually ride it. The only emotional love she had was from the servants who worked for her family since her parents couldn't give her the time of day. How she turned out like she did is anyone's guess!
By the time she was nearly eleven she had firmly decided that her parents really couldn't care less about her and her sister and instead focused her energy on looking after Trixie and studying so the day the letter from England came was a surprise to everyone. Apparently her grandmother on her mother's side had been English before moving to Greece to marry, meaning that Medusa and her sister had some English heritage. The letter of Hogwarts was more than welcome to Medusa. She wanted nothing more than to get away from this house, to learn something new and to have a chance to prove herself to her family that she was more than a daughter to sweep under the carpet and forget.
Leaving Greece for the first time ever everything was new to the girl who spoke only just enough English to get by without making a complete fool of herself. Standing at the platform with one of her maids she knew there were funny looks aimed at her but she was far too excited to care about that. She was away from home! This place was so different -and cold- to what she was used to!
Being sorted into Hufflepuff had been an interesting experience for the Greek girl, especially since her name had caused most people to expect her to become a Slytherin. Having no idea of the prejudices surrounding the houses she was just happy to be in her own house and although it took several months for her English to be understood by her classmates and even longer for them to stop giving her the evil eye every time she walked into the room. It was probably a good thing Medusa was of a sunny personality as she soon weedled her way into the lives of those around her, gathering her own little group of friends.
Over the years she has proved herself to be a good and kind girl, one who will go out of her way to help those around her. However, this summer she has discovered that her father was a supporter of the mad man who had brought war to England all those years ago and how could she ever wish for his love? He is nothing but a monster and now that she is getting older she has found out that he wants to marry her off so that she is no longer his problem....Medusa doesn't want to be a trophy wife like her mother and hopes that before she finishes school she will find someone she can trust with her heart and soul. And besides all this she now has to deal with a sister who has grown into a mini version of their mother and the threat of a new war. One her father wishes to join. Medusa is being forced into a side she has no wish to be a part of and if her parents found out she has joined onto the good side she will be forced to pull out of this place she loves so much.
