Sam is a very attractive young man, with a sculpted body and muscle definition. He didn't get this body by doing nothing of course but for those lucky few who get to see him without a shirt on will tell you the hours he puts into both his job and at the gym have been time well spent. Despite the fact that he has an amazing body he is incredibly self conscious and if he can help it avoids taking his clothes off around people and even his partners have to physically force him to strip sometimes!
Sam's hair is a dark brown and generally quite messy as he never seems to have the time to do much with it in the morning. The only time it looks neat is when he is at an important meeting or dinner. His eyes are a warm chocolate brown and one of his best features. They give away his emotions even when he doesn't want them to and with his cheeky smile he is quite capable of charming the pants off of you. He has quite full lips and despite best intentions his face usually has a good layer of stubble and if on a mission will allow it to grow into a beard until his mrs gets a hold of him on his return where it is promptly shaved off again.
Sam stands at 5'9 so compared to some men he is a little short but he doesn't mind that too much. He favours muggle clothing and will often be seen walking about at the ministry in jeans, a casual shirt and a pair of sturdy ankle boots although like all others in his profession he does own a set of battle robes with the strongest charms he can get on them. For those days he actually decides to wear wizarding clothing he will wear dragon hide trousers- much to the joy of those who find him attractive (he hasn't missed the looks some of the secretaries give him!)- and the regulation robes. It should be noted that his robes have a charmed hood that keep his face hidden in shadows when he is on missions as he does not want the enemy to know his true identity.
It should be noted that Sam has a broad Scottish accent.

Sam is a romantic. He loves cheesy movies and date night and will go out of his way to make those nights extra special for his two loves. He loves to make them happy and will only be truly happy when they are. He is a giver and will make sure that every year he showers them with gifts on those days that are a little bit special -and getting into trouble for doing so at the same time. Along with his obsession with old cheesy flicks he loves to cook and having lived with grandmother before her death is very good at good at home made cooking and enjoys doing such meals for his family whenever he gets the chance.
As a former Ravenclaw it is no surprise that he enjoys learning new things and had he not gone into the hit wizard profession he might have gone into teaching. He loves to get sunk into a good book and is quite happy to sit and read when he gets the time to do so. Although he is a self confessed book worm he balances it out by being something of a fitness fanatic and also loves hitting the gym when he can.
Sam is a pansexual and having realised this at an early age spent many years worrying over what his grandmother would think. Not to mention society in general. He knew muggles tended to be very prejudiced against certain things and was afraid that once people found out he would be judged for it. Luckily once he admitted to his grandmother she accepted him straight away for who he was and in his years at Hogwarts eventually found his two soul mates. His partners are everything to him now (apart from his husky of course) and he would do anything for them, whether it be cooking and cleaning or even laying down his life to protect them. Don't be fooled into thinking he is the dominant in this relationship! In truth he tends to be more of a submissive but like any good relationship it helps to vary it a little and can be dominant when needed.
The darker side of Sam is seen very little. His appearance at work tends to be an intimidating one. At work he can be aggressive and is very much a dominant when leading a team or with a suspect. Sam prefers to work alone, rejecting all partners since his last one was killed thanks to a stupid mistake he had made. With his hood up and his face shadowed people tend to think him much more intimidating than he really is but then again, if it means stopping someone from killing and causing chaos he is more than willing to get his hands very dirty. Just so you know...don't let his normal happy self fool you, when it comes down to it Sam can be as cruel as the people he hunts down. Good thing he's a good guy isn't it?

Born eight days after the end of the wizarding war, Sam was brought into a world still reeling from the after affects of what had happened mere days before. His own family had been wittled down to nothing more than his grandmother and his mother since his father -despite being a muggle- had been a wizard and had been an auror sent to Hogwarts to help out during the fight between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters. He had never lived to see his son.
His mother, although over joyed at giving birth to a healthy baby boy was devastated at the loss of her husband and for the first ten years of his life had no idea there was any sort of chance that he might have inherited magic from his father. In his family there was no such thing as magic and even less so when at the age of eight his mother passed away from aggressive cancer leaving him an orphan with only an elderly grandmother to look after him. It wasn't so bad of course since she was a kindly woman who loved her grandson very much and she was determined to give him a good life.
Sam was a pretty quiet boy during school, keeping to himself and watching the world go by with interest. He was more interested in his books than in playing football with the other boys and it wasn't long before he realised that he was a little different to those around him. As he was coming to the end of primary school he noticed that the boys in his class would laugh and joke about girls despite their young age but to him there was no separating lines between the genders...it was as he grew older and more comfortable with himself that he realised his sexuality was of a different nature to nearly everyone else.
The end of primary school brought a surprise for Sam and his grandmother in the form of a letter delivered by an owl. To Sam it was a portal to a land of wonder, a place of learning and his grandmother, seeing how much he wanted to go sat him down and told him the story about the day a letter arrive for her son -his father- and the life he had led right up until the day he had died. Finally knowing the truth brought a mixture of emotions to Sam. On the one hand he was so proud of his father for being the man he was but betrayed at the thought that his mother hadn't told him the truth and even more so at his granny for not telling him after his mother had died. He understood that it had brought pain into his family but they should have told him! He went to Hogwarts with a heavy heart, knowing that he was finally at a place his father had once loved.
For Sam, Hogwarts was a mystical place he would gladly visit again. He had stared in wonder at Diagon Alley the day he had gotten his wand and running through that wall! But the school was something else entirely! The journey across the lake on the boats is probably still one of his fondest memories. Brought into the Ravenclaw house it didn't take him long to feel like he belonged right there among the other students. It was sad knowing that this was the place his father had died but the knowledge it brought to him was more than equal to keep him busy and he thrived in the environment he was in.
By the time he was in his seventh year he had gained the status of prefect in his house although Head Boy would have been a nice title he wasn't bothered about not getting it. He didn't play quidditch often although he enjoyed the game and when he took a break from the books would practice every now and then- in fact that was the time he developed a love for exercise. So concentrated on his exams and the career he had chosen it was no surprise to anyone that he was blind to the looks he had been getting from one of his fellow students. A year younger than himself she was fascinated by the quiet Raven who spent his time with a nose in a book. She had made it her mission to make him notice her and from what he understands she had done pretty much everything under the sun until she grew tired of him ignoring her. To be honest he hadn't even paid that much attention to the people about him throughout his entire last year and it was just before the christmas holidays that she appeared before him with mistletoe floating over her head. He hadn't time to blink before she was kissing him. He had never felt so alive before that moment. They started dating not long after this although he was awkward at best when it came to being a good boyfriend although he tried his best to please her. It was a good thing she was stubborn.
Graduating from school with excellent grades he immediately went into the training programme for aurors, intending to become an auror like his father but the one day the recruits were treated to a lecture from the group known as 'hit wizards'. He had been fascinated by the work they did and the next day took a transfer into their training programme instead. Being an auror would have made his father proud but in the hit profession he would be able to do whatever it took to bring down those people who wanted to destroy their world. Sam had decided that it would be a good way to avenge the deaths of all that had died during the first war by catching those criminals that had evaded capture the first time around.
Although he and his girlfriend were very happy together in their house in Edinburgh there had always been something missing in their lives and it was during a work christmas party only a few years ago that they met their other mate. He had been so handsome that they had both stared at him the entire night. Since she was a bisexual she didn't care about sharing and actively encouraged Sam to make a move since she to wanted this other man. Between the two of them they managed to get his notice and it was only a few months after that that he joined them. Sam loves christmas because of this. He has met both of his loves at that special time of year.
This happiness only grew as they explored with each other and the only thing that marred this time was the death of his grandmother who died peacefully in her sleep and the not so peaceful death of his work partner. A mission that went so horribly wrong that Sam still refuses to talk about what happened to those he lives and works with. A stupid mistake cost him one of his best friends and he can never forgive himself for it.
Now that the great Harry Potter has been murdered Sam has made it his mission to track down every one of the people who had the downfall of society on their agenda. Refusing to work with a new partner he is considered a loner but a dangerous one. Having never shown his true face outside the circle of hit wizards he is something of a mystery to the rest of the ministry. He will do what he can to protect his world and even more so the two people he loves more than anything.
If nothing else he would make sure he took down as many as he could before the end.
