Fauna is a very sweet looking girl. She has pale white skin that's smooth and clear, though if you get close enough to look you'd be able to see quite a few, very faint freckles across her delicate looking nose. She looks younger than she is and is often confused with a fifth year Hogwarts student despite having left school a couple of years ago.
She's a couple of inches shorter than her sister and weighs a little less. She has a very petite frame and wishes she could be as curvy as her sister, instead she's just flat like a board though she doesn't mind her breasts but occasionally thinks they could be a little bigger.
Fauna has long, wavy, dark brown hair that hangs against her back and in her gorgeous blue eyes you could lose yourself. Her big blue eyes could get her almost anything she wants from anyone but she doesn't do that sort of thing, she just knows that she could.
Fauna enjoys knitting and occasionally wears some of her scarves, hats or gloves, she also crochet's and when at home can be found snuggled up on her sofa with a hot chocolate and one of her crochet blankies over her legs while reading a book.
Usually Fauna wears dresses and can be quite girly. She looks after her appearance and doesn't dress too provocatively. She thinks she's quite grounded in her fashion decisions at parties and when at work, usually just sticks to wearing robes.

Fauna is a bubbly girl when around her friends. She likes to be happy and to make others happy. She'll sometimes put on voices, sing about what she's doing or dance in a funny sort of way that most wouldn't expect to see in that particular moment. Eccentric and quirky but she's also very smart, you don't get into Ravenclaw without having some smarts!
All though she is fun around her friends, Fauna is quite reserved around her family, even her sister, Sharla. Having been the good daughter growing up, Fauna reverts to that sort of mindset when around her parents and Shar. Something within her just clicks off and suddenly she's that sweet, quiet little girl that always does what she' told without fail. So unlike most people, Fauna is friendly with strangers and quiet around her family.
All though Fauna is a fun person when away with her family, she plays everything very safely. She's calm in a crisis, thinks the big things through and tries not to take much of a side during this war. She likes things the way they are and doesn't like to cause a stir. If she died with no one but a couple of her friends and family knowing her name, then that would be perfectly acceptable to her, she doesn't like any political or war sort of fuss.
As much as Fauna might deny it to her friends and Sharla, her parents still have quite a hold over her even though she's living in her own place in London. If her parents request her company, she's there as fast as she can be. If her parents ask her to do some errands, she's doing them before you can tell her to take some time out for herself. She's very much the doting daughter that always wants to keep mummy and daddy happy. and like them she doesn't like any career choices too out there and dangerous and she prefers to be sat behind a desk, pushing paper and stamping things.

Fauna was born the second child to Arcturus and Genevieve Velvet just a few short years after her older sister Sharla Velvet. She saw how her parents placed responsibilities upon her sister and always wanted for her parents to treat her the same way, like an equal to Shar, but all through her life Fauna always felt like the baby, as though her parents didn't think of much as her as they did Shar but obviously Fauna didn't know how Shar was suffering in a totally different way, not wanting all the attention she got from her parents and in the only way to get attention that Fauna knew how as to do exactly as her parents asked, make them pleased to have such an obedient daughter.
Fauna always did as her parents asked of her while her sister rebelled and always her sister got more attention. Eventually Fauna stopped caring about attention and just sort of blended into the background and started developing what is now her own quirky yet placid personality and depending on who she's around can very much depend on what side of her they see.
After blending into the background for 8 years attention suddenly turned around and onto Fauna when Sharla left for Hogwarts but that soon stopped. She was just so well behaved for her parents that most of the time they forgot she was there. She'd just sit, reading books and writing in her journal. She barely ever played outside and preferred to just spend time sat on a bench reading.
Fauna often spent time reading once she was at Hogwarts, it wasn't until her fourth year that she really started socialising with people, but having been the way that she was, she just sort of tagged along and blended into the background like at home. In her fifth and sixth year she started speaking out a bit more and talking to her friends rather than just nodding or mumbling in agreement. In her seventh year she pretty much became the person she is now. She started opening up so much more and actually stopped to talk to people in the school corridors, people she'd never spoken to before in her life!
Upon opening up and becoming almost a completely different person to when she had started Hogwarts, Fauna went to the Three Broomsticks on a Hogsmeade Weekend, always having thought of them as too much and pointless she'd never been before but her first visit was the best memory of her life because it was there she saw a guy that she'd never seen before.
He was bar tending in the Three Broomsticks and had graduated Hogwarts a couple of years ago. He was tall, dark and handsome. Clean shaven, well dressed and the moment her eyes locked on to his and he smiled, Fauna could have melted like butter. She stumbled over her words, trying to place a simple order of three butterbeers and by the end of it, he'd asked her on a date and the shy girl said ... well not a lot. She sort of stuttered over what it was she wanted to say and hurried back to her friends without even giving the poor man an answer. But it didn't matter. That meeting and that lack of a response had only made him more interested in pursuing Fauna and she for the first time ever had a love interest in her life.
Graduation came and went and after Hogwarts, after haven the biggest crush on the Three Broomsticks Bartender ever, Fauna agreed to a date. She'd wanted to finish Hogwarts before they went out officially and get herself some great grades to please her parents. She was mortified of the possibility of having a boyfriend while in school and potentially getting distracted and getting bad grades and thoroughly disappointing her parents. To Fauna it seems that her parents only like her, only want her in the family because she's seemingly so perfect and agrees with absolutely everything they say.
During her first couple of months out of Hogwarts, Fauna managed to get herself a job at the ministry of magic in the Werewolf Registration Department, that job was all about paper pushing and was the perfect thing for Fauna. The pay was good and the job was safe, nothing at all dangerous like Sharla, working as an Auror was unfathomable to Fauna.
All though Fauna no longer works in the Werewolf Registration Department, her parents still think she does. If they knew where she really was she thinks they'd have a few things to say about it and potentially disown her, something she knows they'd never do to Sharla no matter how reckless she got. After fixing an incident involving a married couple, a werewolf, some love potion, wolfsbane potion and an old man in an extraordinarily unusual yet exceedingly cleaver way, Fauna was asked if she would like to work as an unspeakable by some very private people. She took the job on under the condition that no one, especially her parents and sister, were to find out that she was an unspeakable in the Love chamber of the department of Mysteries. This isn't a dangerous job and more research, there's a lot of paperwork that keeps her happy and organising to keep things safe. Outside of work she has her boyfriend that she's been with for over three years and parents she visits more often than she should but she just cannot say 'no' to her life givers.
