Nethalin is very tall, about 6'1, and slender. His body is toned and sculpted, as he obviously takes care of himself, and likes to show it off sometimes, not scared to take his top off in front of people, as he's not shy at all about it. He has long legs and big feet, and walks with a sort of lazy purpose, as though he has a mission, but can't quite be overly bothered to get on with it too quickly. He always has a light tan, though sometimes it's darker if he spends particularly long days teaching outdoors in the summer.
His face is wide, as his brothers, with the same pointed chin, and wide jaw and forehead. He is handsome, though, with a straight, pointed nose, that is just the right size for his face, and wide lips, which are on the thinner side. His teeth are straight, and naturally white, and when he smiles, it sort of takes over his whole face, like he is literally beaming like a child. He has dimples in his cheeks when he does smile, though they are sometimes present even when he's not. His eyes are average sized, though can sometimes appear to be squinting a little, thanks to the scrutinizing looks he tends to give to everyone. They are a lovely shade of deep crystal blue. His hair is dark blonde, and falls down to his chin at the longest, and he likes it that way. As does he like to have a bit of stubble on his face, as he's not a fan of te clean-shaven look on himself.

Neth is quite a dynamic character. He does his own thing, and hell to anyone who thinks they can get him to do otherwise. He is a rebel, and a bit naughty, though he does have a heart of gold. He was always cheeky, from an early age, and would talk back to his parents and any authority figures, really, as he hated being told what to do and bossed about by anyone, and it would trigger his stubborn streak, causing him to do the exact opposite of what he was being told. And before you say it, no, reverse psychology doesn't work on him, in that case, since he's actually very intelligent, too. He just likes to be left to do his own thing, as he works better that way.
Also, he just tends to think his way is better than anyone else's, since he loved to be in charge, and be the leader of things. He can be bossy, though most of the time he can't be bothered to muster up the energy to get in someone's fae like some sergeant and order everyone about. He prefers to do it in a more laid-back sort of fashion, and only calls upon his energy reserves when someone really riles him. He has a temper on him, and can be quite nasty when he wants to, or when someone annoys him. He won't hesitate to tell people exactly what he thinks of them, and doesn't really care if they don't like it.
He has a great sense of humour, though, and as moody and angry as he can be with people, he loves a good joke (so long as it's not at his expense), and takes great pleasure in pranking people, and giving them irritating nicknames, that he will not let go of for anything in the world. He can be a wind-up merchant, and he gets kicks out of it, though sometimes it backfires, and end up in a fist fight if he takes it too far with guys he hardly knows. He does have a kind heart, though, and when it comes down to it, he is generous, and helpful to those who really need it, he's thoughtful and romantic, and genuinely cares about the people he has strong bonds with, and animals, especially. Basically, Neth is, who he is, and it's a case if like it or lump it.

Nethalin was born in Wrexham, Wales, on a cold December morning. His parents, Purebloods, Lydia and Jacques, were French, though had lived in Wales for years before Nethalin's birth. He also had an older brother, five year old Lucien, who he would come to terrorize, and love unconditionally. He was always a naughty child, throwing tantrums of he didn't get his own way, or rebelling and sulking, if he was told no by his parents. He would get very bored easily, and so go to his brother for entertainment, only to annoy the life out of him and end up in a fight with him, instead, thanks to his mouth running away with him.
He was a little jealous when Lucien got to go to Hogwarts before him, and so his parents had a tough five years after that, having to cope with Nethalin wanting to be grown up and to do things he couldn't yet. He didn't like being told what to do, and even ran away a couple of times, to their horror. He did love his parents and brother, though, and every single time he caused a drama, he would always apologize to them, not to any friends or other people, but to his family. He cared about them more than even he realized at such a young age, so he went ou tof his way to make sure they knew that he was sorry and loved them, exceptionally. This made is very hard to stay mad at him, or dislike him, and that was a trait he kept with him throughout his life. The face that, it was really hard not to like Nethalin Leroux.
He got his own Hogwarts letter at the age of eleven, and practically ran out the door on his own on the first of September, with eagerness. He was received with great caution by his Professors, since, upon expecting him to be as golden and peaceful as his brother, got their eye wiped when he turned out to be a troublesome Gryffindor. They soon encouraged him to channel his energies into positive things, and allowed him to join the house Quidditch team in his second year, since he showed such a talent for it. He also found distractions in such things as Defence Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures, which vast became his favourite subjects, and he found he excelled in them, which boosted his ego and made him feel great about himself.
He was popular enough at school, though was known for being trouble, so he had a fair share of enemies, which meant that drama tended to follow him around a good bit. He didn't care though, as he was more than equipped to handle it, and was just content that he wasn't having to compromise on his personality and he was doing whatever the hell he wanted to. Girls tended to crush on him a lot, like they did with his older brother, thanks to his confidence and swagger, and he had his share of younger stalkers, too, often being followed by giggling first and second year girls, when he was seventeen and not in the least bit interested. It was flattering, though.
When he left school, he went travelling for a few years, wanting to see the world and figure out what he really wanted to do with his life. He worked for a friend of his fathers in New Zealand, working with Dragons, and found that it was particularly enjoyable. He also met his first love there, Evie, a professional Quidditch player for the local team, the Moutohora Macaws. They stayed together for eighteen months, though it was hard with her having to travel around so much for her work. After a couple of years, though, they split, as Nethalin longed for home, and returned to Wales, to his parents and his brother and nephews. He applied for a job at the Ministry in the Beast Division Department, and managed to get it thanks to his silver tongue and confidence in himself. It wasn't perfect, but it got him a hell of a good wage every month, which was enough for him, at the time. He put some of it toward helping his brother to raise his three kids by himself, and even moved in with Lucien for a while, taking the opportunity to bond with his three nephews properly, which he really enjoyed.
It was only four years ago that a different job opening caught his eye, and made him actually sit up to attention and consider something sensibly for the first time in his life. Hogwarts was in need of a new Care of Magical Creatures Professor. Well, naturally, Nethalin didn't hesitate to pounce on the opportunity. He applied, and once again, managed to charm his way into the position. Besides, he had more than enough experience by now, to get him through. He moved to Hogsmeade, into his brothers house, to get himself settled, before moving full time into the castle, where he found this teaching thing was a lot easier than he had imagined, though his temper wouldget the better of him sometimes if the kids he was with weren't listening to him, or doing as they were told. He quickly became known at a Professor who was not to be messed with, and wasn't afraid to hand out detentions left, right, and center. Just last year, he was offered the position of Head of Gryffindor House, his old house, and snatched it up enthusiastically, loving the fact that he was being given more leadership around the place. He is fair, though, and does his job well, having a good relationship with staff and students alike, thanks to his humour and wit.
