physical
physical appearance
Around 5'11 in height, Lucien is average, at best, at least physically. He is of a medium build, with slender enough features for his age, though he is by no means some muscly, Adonis type figure, when it comes to his physique. He has more important things to do than chase a six pack and the toned body of some sex symbol. Besides, his face more than makes up for any of it.
He has a wide-ish face, with a slender chin and wide forehead. His skin is dark, like that of the Native American men he descends from, though he can be paler in the winters. He has a small, perfectly straight nose, with tapers to a gently pointed tip, with lightly flared nostrils. Hi slips are a little thinner than one might like, though perfectly formed, and hiding a smile that is very rarely displayed. His teeth are naturally straight, though lacking that dazzling white Hollywood effect, since he looks after them, but thinks it's ridiculous to want them to be a glow-in-the-dark shade which is so obviously fake. He has high cheekbones, and sculptured cheeks that sit beneath the most breathtaking eyes you could ever find.
Lucien's eyes are the deepest pools of chocolate ever to exist, so intense and beautiful are they, you could get lost in them forever. They have a depth and sense of knowledge about them that can be a little overwhelming at times, and are framed with thick black lashes, that seriously help him to pull in the ladies (not that he needs help in that department). His brows are thick and dark, though neat enough to be presentable, and are the same shade as his hair, when he leaves his head alone. His hair is almost always long, touching his shoulders of chin the majority of the time (though he has on occasion cut it shorter). It is naturally a dark chocolate brown, verging on black sometimes, though when he spends so much time in the sun, it gets strong blonde highlights through it, or sometimes he just dyes it for a bit of a change. He always leaves it hanging naturally, and it can look like it's in need of a wash at times, when he usually scrapes it back into a suave ponytail. Not usually clean-shaven, Lucien likes to have a bit of a beard and a mustache going, though he does scrub up well when he needs to.

dementor
The day his girlfriend went into early labour with their eldest son, Tristan. He died during labour and had to be revived. It took an insanely long amount of time and Lucien was beside himself with panic. He was thoroughly distraught throughout the whole process, and it terrified him.
patronus
Owl. Again, Lucien's happiest memory was when Tristan was revived successfully, and he finally got to hold his son for the first time, safe in the knowledge that he was healthy and nothing bad was going to happen to him. Lucien was only 19 years old at the time, so it was the most thrilling, scary, exciting thing he had ever experienced, though without a doubt, the happiest.
overall personality
Lucien is a very calm, quiet person, in general. He's one of those guys that keeps his own counsel, and only interferes if he has something important or profound to say. He's not a fan of drama or loud, gregarious situations, so he tends to just withdraw from those kinds of scenes, unless he is directly involved. He's great at giving advice, as he's very observant, and highly intelligent, so he sees things that other may miss, thanks to the fact that he keeps his mouth shut and just watches and learns about the people around him. He's not a judgemental person, so he never uses anything he observes as a weapon or means of deciding whether people are good or bad or anything in between. He has a very open mind, and is a great listener, always taking things in his stride and having the ability to not let his emotions get the better of him.
He is a very emotional person, however, but he shows it in different ways. He's very loving and caring, and he would do anything for his close friends and family. Anything. He can be very protective and even a little possessive and overbearing at times, with his desire to keep his loved ones safe, and this can cause the odd problem or two with his kids, since they don't always appreciate his guidance and protection to that level. He's sensible, though, and he tries to keep a cool head with people in general, not letting his temper show, though if anyone does piss him off, he broods on it for days, and is quite adept at getting revenge. He can be moody and a bit grumpy, and he will go out of his way to get back at people, in very underhand ways, where they will never find out it was him, if they hurt him or his family in any serious way. He can be snappy and stubborn, and will not back down when he knows he is right about something. He is like an immovable object, calm, yet dangerous if pushed.
There is a lighter side to him, too, though. He enjoys good conversations, and people with a great sense of humour. He has a very dry wit, and can be sharp tongued and cheeky in subtle ways, that can go under the radar of people who aren't as quick-witted. He is a brilliant friend, loyal and supportive, though it takes a lot to gain his trust, as Lucien is very trustworthy, but doesn't trust easily, himself. He can befriend more shallow types, as he gets a bit of amusement out of their chaotic ways, though he can only take it in small doses. He loves his job because he gets to meet new people, and hear stories and tales he never would even dream about, himself, and he can be a social creature, enjoying verbal banter and offering out his own tales and advice to those who might need it.

history
Lucien Jacques Leroux, was born on the 14th May, to Lydia and Jacques, and French couple who had lived in Wales since they were married at a young age. Lucien was to be their eldest child, a younger brother coming when he was five years old. Nethalin was a curse and a blessing in quiet little Lucien's life, as the humble, smart boy found it comforting to have company in life, and someone to bond with and turn to. But at the same time, Nethalin was turning into a rebellious, mouthy little thing, (in Lucien's opinion), and he would often get on Lucien's nerves and they would argue and clash a lot. Lucien hated this, as he loved his brother dearly, and wanted nothing more than to keep him safe and happy, regardless of how much they fought.
At the age of eleven, Lucien got his Hogwarts Acceptance letter, and was a little doubtful about going off to live at some castle he had never seen before, away from his family. Six year old Neth encouraged him, though, telling him how much fun it would be to get to learn magic properly, as they were destined to. Lucien, though hesitant and a little bit more than scared, decided he needed to be brave, and besides, it wasn't like he had a choice, his parents, though wonderful parents, wouldn't let him chicken out of his education. He sat alone on the train journey, his bravery not yet extending to sociability, though the act of stepping out into the world on his own, was to make him the steadfast man he would grow to be, with courage in abundance.
He was sorted into Ravenclaw house, thanks to his smarts and wit, and found he did quite well there, having the determination to succeed in lessons, and finding that he actually enjoyed most of them. He made friends well enough, though only a small handful were kept close, akin to all of his secrets and deeper feelings. He became popular with girls, too, as he got a little older, thanks to his pretty face and those eyes, and he found that he enjoyed the interactions he had with them. This sealed a part of his fate a few years after he graduated from school, as he fell for a girl the same age as him, both eighteen, and they ran away together to live in France. A year later, Francesca was lying on a hospital bed, giving birth to their first son, which was traumatic in every way, let alone because of the fact that they were both far too young to be parents.
Tristan was loved, though, and Lucien and Frankie moved back to Wales, to be close to his parents while they attempted to figure out how to raise their son. The thing was, though, only a year later, the same thing happened again, and another son was added to their family, Ollivier being born with no complications, and to parents who sort of knew a bit more than they did a year ago, about having kids. Still, it caused trouble, because they were both so young. Lucien struggled enough, and he was a more reliable, sensible sort, so fun-loving Frankie was having a hellish time, trying to be a mother and live a boring, tiresome life. They fought a lot, and stuck together for the sake of thinking that they had no choice.
Two years later, Theodore was born, and their youngest son was the final nail in the coffin that was their relationship. When he was three years old, Frankie left. She had had enough of being an adult with too many responsibilities, so she packed a bag, and left to catch up on her youth, never contacting Lucien or her sons again, except for sending them birthday and Christmas cards with money in. Lucien was devastated, not to lose Frankie, since they had long grown apart by that point, but he was devastated for his sons, who were now left without a mother. He relied heavily on his parents and brother to help raise them, and Lydia and Jacques did more than their fair share, helping Lucien out with money issues, as he worked as a shop assistant in a local wizarding village. The money wasn't much, but they survived.
When it came time for Tristan to get his Hogwarts letter, Lucien made his mind up to move his little family, so he rented a place in Hogwmeade, and secured himself a full time job working as a bartender in the Three Broomsticks, which was perfect for him. His sons all being close in age, they were soon all at the castle, and Lucien had the time and energy to work hard for them, so they wouldn't be left out on school trips or be needing new things and not able to afford them. He still does, to this day, and now he looks forward to his three beautiful children graduating over the next few years, and being able to give themselves the most amazing lives, with his backing.
