Cambria leaned over the sink, checking her lipstick. It was faint, very close to her natural lip colour but it was definitely there. Tilting her head this way and that Cambria was happy with how it looked. She checked out her eyes, tucked a strand of hair behind her right ear, surveyed her face one last time and stood back from the mirror.
Flattening the front of her robes she got herself looking as perfect as she could. She watched herself in the mirror the entire time and turned this way and that making sure she looked amazing from all angles. There was no way she'd go out looking like any sort of mess, that just wasn't her, she was obsessive about her looks.
Winking at herself in the mirror and blowing herself a kiss, Cambria turned on her heel and headed out of the staff room bathroom. She headed through the staff room and made her way back towards the library. She'd had lunch, read a bit and was now heading back to work. There was plenty of organising to be done and books to put away, providing Faye hadn't done them of course.
Stepping into the library things were quiet, just the way Cambria liked them, older students were studying and there was no sign of any of the younger years that tended to get on her nerves. Most of them thought the library was a play space. Yeah, well not while she was on duty. She was strict and tolerated no nonsense and over the years the students got used to her ways and did as they were told.
The day wore on and Cambria put away the last few books, went through the last lot of paperwork and locked up the library. There was never much security on the place in case students wanted to sneak in during the night and study, though Cambria doubted all of them studied ...
Heading back down to the staff room toilets Cambria reapplied her lipstick and straightened herself up again. She walked into the staff room, grabbed an irish hot chocolate and took a seat amongst her fellow staff members. The Bailey's was smooth and blended well with the hot chocolate. It was as though there was a party within her mouth, her taste buds were dancing as the rest of her body relaxed into the chair she'd chosen for this tonight's wind down session.
