Personality
Meet the lovely Jasmine Cauldwell, Jasmine's a total sweetheart, with an almost boundless sense of whimsical curiosity, and with a passion for solving problems placed in front of her Jasmine strives to find a little bit of adventure in her everyday life.
Generally Jasmine is gentle, considerate and a typically happy person. She's a caring individual, offering advice and an open heart should anybody need it or want it. She's patient, the type of person who constantly looks for the silver lining in most situations, she's always trying to do the right things for those she cares about, even if it means not taking the easiest of routes. Jasmine's a fun loving person with a knack for getting herself into ridiculous situations. She's incredibly passionate about the hobbies and classes she's truly interested in and while she doesn't tend to overly chatter away to people get her talking about a hobby she truly cares about and she could talk for hours.
Typically Jasmine's incredibly stubborn, and with a tendency of saying what's exactly on her mind her blunt honesty has probably upset a few people. She also has a very black and white sense of right and wrong and while she does claim compassion she is very guilty of judging before she knows the full story, she's without a doubt reckless and has no problem throwing shade be it in the name of banter, or otherwise. So she's probably got one or two people that dislike her, she wouldn't go out of her way to make enemies though, as she's by no means an aggressive person nor is she horrible, if anything she prefers befriending people instead of alienating them. She's not physically strong but with an iron will she's really no push over so don't underestimate her, she may surprise you, she's never been afraid to bite the bullet.
A bit naïve and somewhat absent minded Jasmine doesn't really hold much faith in herself personally, while her confidence is generally high she herself holds quite a low sense of self esteem. She's never felt good enough and her family (especially her father), without realizing tend to put a lot of pressure on her, especially when it comes to school. Truthfully she's never felt good enough for them nor has she ever felt like anybodies ever been proud of her. Of course typical to character Jasmine has never allowed for these feelings to manifest themselves, she hates feeling like a burden and would rather help fix the problems of her friends. She's not an overly emotional person, she doesn't allow herself to get upset (especially in front of other people) instead she tends to close herself off and somewhat fold in on herself this being said she's by no means depressive she simply needs time on her own to sort things out in her head.
Shes a typical romantic, and somewhat naïve so if someone tried to, they could probably take advantage of her quite easily, she wouldnt even know until somebody else pointed it out or stepped in to stop the situation continuing. She would of course due to her bullheadedness deny this fact but in all honesty she could be quite easily manipulated. With that in mind Jasmine's not a very forgiving person, her fore mentioned black and white sense of right and wrong doesn't allow her to be, so if you've truly upset her or betrayed her then you have to work to regain her trust. She of course would still be incredibly wary of you and it would be questionable if she'd ever truly forgive you, as she'd be constantly second guessing whether you'd hurt her again.
History
- On June the 17th Jasmine is born to Owen and Sarah Cauldwell, a middle class half blood family. Jasmine has a generally normal childhood, however upon turning five she suffers a severe asthma attack and is rushed to hospital, soon after she's diagnosed with a Strong case of asthma.
- When Jasmine is three her little brother is born, Jasmine is three at the time and hates the sight of him, she doesn't understand why he won't stop crying and smells. Still a toddler herself she isn't sure what to make of her new playmate however with her mothers intervention, she learns to accept and love her brother and becomes rather over protective of him.
- The rest of her childhood goes without much complaint, she can't play the adventurous games that the rest of the children (and her siblings) in her neighbourhood play due to her condition, so she turns to books and tea parties to pass the time. During her eighth summer Jasmine experiences magic for the first time ever, after falling out of a tree instead of breaking a number of bones Jasmine's freefall halted suspending her mid air .
- When Jasmine receives her Hogwarts letters her parents are of course excited, immediatley they begin preperations to visit Diagon alley, Jasmine can remember annoying her older sister with her questions about the school though her sisters annoyance hardly registers due to her excitement.
- After being sorted into Gryffindor, her formative years of Hogwarts go quite quickly, she's an average student and her favourite lessons become Transfiguration and Astronomy. She's a social creature and enjoys spending time in the grounds and in Hogsmeade hanging out with her closest friends. She's generally well behaved except for an incident in her third year in which she hexed a snobby girl that had taken to picking on one of her friends. She ended up in detention for a week!
-With increased pressure from her father to not waste her 'time at Hogwarts' Jasmine finds herself stressing more and more as her OWL's grow closer. One particular incident during her revision had her in the hospital wing with the nurse giving her a calming draught. Something her friends still refuse to let her live down.
-During her fifth year Jasmine had her first boyfriend, it was a sweet relationship at first until they began to drift apart and constantly argued. They broke up after a viscious arguement in which he not only insulted her family, but tried to turn her against her friends, she broke up with him after finally realizing what a controlling pig he was.
- After that relationship Jasmine spent her summer reading up on the muggle/wizarding world's feminist movement she found it empowering and her confidence began to re-grow just in time for sixth year at school.
