a near identical match to his twin brother lorcan, lysander stands at about five feet and nine inches. his bright blue eyes are almost always his most noticeable trait, being something the girls just adore. he’s not the most muscular guy around and is rather frail, weighing in at about 140 pounds.
his hair stays its natural color; a bit of a dirty blond. he keeps it at a medium length. not too short or buzzcut, but not so long that it’s obstructing his view or needs a ponytail. his hair is different from his twin, who’s hair changes color from week to week. that’s probably how you can tell these two apart, when it comes down to it. also, his twin has a little bit more muscle on him.
when it comes to his clothes, he's going to risk adding something obnoxious to his school robes. whether it be covering it in buttons or pins or trying (and failing) to dye parts of it hot pink, he'll always be trying to make some noise visually. when he's not in school attire, he's wearing something obnoxious, though not as strange as his brother. he usually sticks to bright colors and odd patterns that don't match.

ly is quite an eccentric fellow, much like his twin. they seem to take after their mother quite a bit when it comes to being oddballs. that seems to be what people love about him so much, though. or hate about him. either way, he always seems to be the center of attention. that’s what he loves the most, though; when all eyes are on him. being the class clown is exciting.
he loves making people laugh, though he may take jokes too far at times. he’s brutally honest at times because he’s often insensitive to other peoples’ feelings. he doesn’t really mean to offend people, that’s just what ends up happening. sometimes his attempts to be funny end up backfiring.
he’s known to be very feminine at times, as well. he loves stuffed animals and wearing bright colors as well as having an, at times, strange vocabulary. he can be extremely flamboyant just because he thinks it’s funny and it brings him attention. he often makes random noises or breaks out into song in public, jumps on tables and spontaneously dances. he’s not afraid to make a fool of himself.
it’s very easy for him to make friends just because he’s usually extremely friendly and easy to get to know. his best friend by far, though, would have to be his twin lorcan. they don’t have identical personalities, though, seeing as lorcan is usually an obsessive mystery solver while lysander is intent on letting things be, but that doesn’t stop the loyalty and love of family. their close bond is very unique.
while lorcan would do anything for a female, so it would seem, lysander isn’t too interested in that sort of business. he’ll flirt without meaning to, but obvious advances by the other party tend to startle the hufflepuff a great deal. unless it’s obvious, he’s completely oblivious to when a girl is hitting on him. he’s scared of getting too close to someone, developing a deep relationship, only to have them break his heart into a million pieces. this is precisely the reason he’s never had a girlfriend and plans on keeping it that way.

lysander was born to rolf and luna scamander and grew up in a home full of random silliness. his mother was always an eccentric young woman who raised her children with the belief that being considered “odd†or “different†was a great compliment. normalcy was something that was just too boring.
ly was lucky enough to be born with a twin; lorcan. lorcan happened to be born minutes before lysander, making sander the youngest of the family. that would come up on occasion whenever they’d have a squabble; “well, i’m the oldest!†lorcan would argue for one reason or another. the pair are very similar in many ways, but lorcan seems to come off a bit more odd than ly. where ly is just an obnoxious, random fellow, lorcan can absorb himself into the strangest things that seem to captivate him for the longest time, making him seem obsessive. like that incident where ly had lost one of his socks. lorcan would not rest until he had found it!
unfortunately, the two were somehow not sorted in the same house. perhaps it was because of this slight difference in personalities. lysander always knew lorcan was intelligent, wise and observant. more so than himself. but he didn’t expect his twin to be sorted into ravenclaw. he wanted his brother in hufflepuff, like himself! unfortunately, that’s not what the sorting hat had in mind.
growing up in such a loving, accepting and strange family was very healthy for the boy. he was surrounded by magic from a young age and would always have any questions he had concerning the wizarding world answered by his educated parents. he learned to fly on a broom at a young age, and that’s where he discovered his love for quidditch.
his adoration for the sport never went away, and after much practice, lysander made the quidditch team as a chaser when he was in his third year at hogwarts. it definitely gave him something to do with his free time. sometimes his acting out in class gets him in trouble with his extracurricular activities, though. that still doesn’t stop him from wanting to crack jokes during a class lecture.
now he’s embarking on his final year at hogwarts. how wonderful it will be, to finally be done. perhaps he’ll go on to the bigger leagues in quidditch.. if he’s good enough. practice, practice, practice. if that falls through, he can always just settle for being a teacher, like his mum.
