Finn has a very plain look about him. There's barely anything remarkable about him and yet he is somehow quite attractive. He has boring green eyes that neither sparkle or shin, perfectly clear skin, arrow straight nose and lips that are neither thin or thick.
Despite his 'average attractiveness' Finn has been asked out on numerous occasions. Not only is his face fairly attractive but he has a tall and muscular body that stands tall at 6 foot even. He's a bulky kid that few would mess with.
Usually Finn keeps his hair short. Sometimes it's long enough to do something with but on average he cuts his hair three times a year during school holidays that he always goes home for.
Despite coming from a quidditch inclined family, Finn is on the cheerleading squad for Hufflepuff. His large body and strong muscles put him in the centre of lifts and stunt preparations.
Finn has one scar on his other wise plain face. On the top of his left eyebrow runs a horizontal, long scar from where his sister flew into him on a broom at age three. He had been six years old and momentarily knocked unconscious. He woke to see blood over his face and his parents getting ready to take him to hospital.

Finn isn't really that complicated a human to understand. he was born to two pure blooded parents that thought they were better than everyone else so it was no surprise that at least one of their children inherited that trait.
When it comes to women and girls Finn actually has quite low standards on how they look, he's impressed when a girl can keep up with him physically or can keep him in his place without making him feel like a moron or making him angry.
Finn doesn't take a lot of time to get to know people. If you seem all right then he'll put up with you, if you annoy him ever, then he'll probably punch you out of his way and move on. He's a bully and there's nothing he enjoys more than intimidating people and watching them suffer.
Finn doesn't have a lot of friends, mostly because he won't be someone's lackey, he's too smart for that, but he's not smart enough to keep his mouth closed. He has more friends in Slytherin than any other house, even his own.
Finn has always had a soft spot and compassionate side for animals, something some of the girls and boys at Hogwarts have noticed. Care of Magical Creatures is the only class he's passing with flying colours. Astronomy is another of his favourite lessons and mythology but he's barely scraping 'acceptable' in those.

Finlaggan was the original name for the first born child of Cormac and Morag McLaggen. It was the location the child had been conceived and the location of their first home together, however Finlaggan McLaggen just didn't seem to sit too well for Morag and so the pair decided on Finnigan.
Finnigan grew up spoilt, even when his sister came along he was still spoilt and so was his sister. Together the two grew up fairly close and lived a stones throw from Godric's Hollow, along the outskirts of the semi-wizarding village where muggles and wizards mixed and mingled. Having two professional quidditch players for parents meant that they were able to afford a nice house, near to other wizarding families in the village, however they were on the richer side, closer to well known, pure blooded wizarding families.
The McLaggen's didn't raise their children to be pureblooded maniac's but being raised in close proximity to other pure blooded children, Finnigan started picking up on their behaviours and their prejudices and soon he believed himself better than those of lesser blood.
Finn grew up socialising with friends that he lived near and together they went to Hogwarts. Finn was sorted into Hufflepuff after a lengthy choice by the sorting hat and his friends went to Slytherin. That never bothered him though. Finn made a friends in hufflepuff and a couple more from other houses. He finds he gets on better with pure blooded girls than boys but he's not fussed about being accused of being gay or bisexual or anything really because he knows there's no one that would dare say it to his face.
Finn's scraped by the past few years of school with barely acceptable grades. This year he really needs to start studying a bit more if he has any chance of moving onto the next year but there's little he wants to do after school and even less in school. He's determined to stick with his Squad though, to him they're like his family, no mater what any of their blood statuses are, to him they're all pure blood and no one had better mess with them.
