physical
physical appearance
Handsome as his father, Tristan looks like his dad in practically every way. From the strong, chiselled jaw, to the sculpted cheekbones and dark complexion, he could never deny his father, based on looks alone. He has the straight nose, delicately flared nostrils, wide lips and large chocolate eyes that make his family stand apart. His eyes are deep and beautiful, captivating with dark lashes and heavy yet neat brows. His hair is dark brown and shaggy, falling about his ears in an attractive manner. The only thing Tristan got from his mother is his smile, which is wide and beaming.
He has reached his full height now, a decent five feet and eleven inches, which he is fine with. He is slim and always has been, not very prone to putting on weight. He isn't bony of weak though, as he works on keeping himself fit and strong in order to secure himself a job as a Hit Wizard when he finishes school. He carries himself confidently, usually having his hands stuffed inside his pockets just to keep them out of the way and give him something to do with them other than fidgeting, which annoys him.

Tristan fears his father leaving the way his mother did, even though he knows it will never happen.
dementor
His worst memory has to be the day, when he was only six years old, that his mother packed her things and left, never to be seen again. Tristan didn't understand, and was broken for a long time after that, missing his mother horribly, to the point of lashing out at his dad and acting up at school.
patronus
Eagle owl - Tristan's happiest memory is when his father finally agreed to get the family their own Owl instead of going to the post office all of the time. Tristan loves owls, and was thrilled to go to the pet shop to choose one.
overall personality
Tristan has a tricky personality. He is a good guy, means well, and wants to do great things with his life. He is very ambitious and can be pretty demanding when it comes to getting his way. He isn't afraid to stand up and tell people what he thinks and how he feels about things, if he thinks it will benefit him in some way. He is very outspoken with his opinions, and thinks it's silly to hold back, and if people want to take offence at anything he says, that's their problem. He can be a tiny bit arrogant at times, especially if he's running on a bad mood. It can take him a while to recover and in the meantime, he gets cocky.
He can be mouthy and antagonistic when he wants. This stems from a young age when he struggled to deal with his mum walking out on the family when he was six years old. He became sensitive and angry and would act out all of the time, doing things to annoy his father because he wasn't sure how to cope with feeling like his own mother didn't love him any more. He still gets like this, and likes to go against his fathers wishes when and as it suits him, which doesn't always go down well. He can be seen as a cheeky chappy at times like this, and people either see him as a lot of fun, or a pain in the arse. He likes to think himself fun, but knows full well he's only doing it to get a rise out of his dad.
He's smart and works hard at school. He intends to be a Hit Wizard when he's older, and will let nothing stop him from achieving this goal. Or any goal, for that matter. He is highly driven and the type of person to see every project through to the end, rather than getting bored and giving up halfway through. He has a lot of stamina, and willpower. Tristan is a loyal friend, and does what he can to be there for people he trusts. He is helpful and well-mannered, as his father raised him to be, and he does his best by his peers and elders when he's in his better moods.

history
Tristan was born the eldest child of a very young wizarding couple. His parents hadn't been wanting a child, so he was a complete surprise, and they struggled a lot to adapt to the thought of being parents when they were still practically children themselves. They were living in Marseilles, France, when Tristan made his appearance, and only spent a few more months there before it all became too much. His dad insisted that they move back to his home town of Wrexham in Wales, and Tristan's mother didn't put up much of a fight, feeling completely overwhelmed at suddenly being a mother. Things were easier once Tristan's grandparents were around to help, and no sooner was he a year old than he had a baby brother come on the scene.
Olivier was a surprise too, but Tristan's parents had help now, so the boys were soon spending every spare second with Nan and Grandad and Uncle Nethalin. Tristan enjoyed having family around, and was usually a pleasant child, if not slightly wilful and vocal. He displayed signs of magic from the age of four, which was quite young, but his spirit was so powerful it was hard to suppress it. Flowers would shrivel up when he was angry, milk cartons would randomly explode if he was impatient at breakfast time, and even occasionally people would miraculously lose their voices if he felt he wasn't being heard in the middle of a heated debate over toys.
His family dealt with it well though, even though Tristan's mother was a bit unusual in her parenting methods. She was distinctly hands off, and didn't really get involved too much in what her sons were doing. Tristan remembers always thinking mummy was too busy to play. Dad, on the other hand, was always there, supportive and encouraging, end even fun! Just before his fourth birthday, another brother was born, little Theodore, and Tristan was quite all right with it. He was used to sharing by now, and appreciated having the attention took away from him so he could do his own thing. Things were great for a while, and Tristan had a happy life, his parents working hard and making time for family days and fun, his dad used to teach Tristan about the stars and planets at night, and he has more than enough happy memories from his childhood.
It wasn't until he was six years old that it all fell apart. Once day, he woke up early, as usual, and went down to breakfast, waiting for his dad to come down with Ollie and Theo. The thing was... Lucien never came. Tristan's Nan came through the front door instead, and made breakfast, packed the boys off to school, and picked them up again in the afternoon. Dad was waiting for them, and Tristan could tell he had been crying, he had those shadows under his eyes, like he did sometimes when he'd say they couldn't afford to buy two types of cereal this month, or that they couldn't afford enough Floo Powder to go into Diagon Alley to do some window shopping. It was a little bit worse this time though. Tristan had sat on the arm of the chair, keeping to himself as his dad tried to explain what had happened.
Their mum was gone, and she wasn't coming back. Tristan didn't really know if Ollie and Theo understood what that meant, maybe Ollie, he was only a year younger, but Tristan definitely knew what it meant. It means that mum didn't love them any more. His dad told them that that wasn't true, and that she was just confused and was making a mistake, but Tristan wasn't having any of it. It was after that pint that he changed. Acting up and lashing out at his father became commonplace around the house, and he would throw a fit if he didn't get his own way. He was provocative and argumentative, and made life as difficult as possible for his father, who really was trying his hardest to hold what was left of his family together. They would often stay with Uncle Neth, but Tristan would even act up for him. He figured that if he just pushed them away already, they would leave, too, and he could get all the hurting out of the way sooner rather than later.
It was a great plan to an irrational, heartbroken child, but it soon became a way of life for him, and as he reached school age, Tristan was more than a bit of a rebel. His dad told Tristan and his brothers that he had a new job, in Hogsmeade, which was really close to the school, and that they would be moving there. Well, that was a drama in itself, but Tristan went along with it, after shouting horribly that he'd be at the castle anyway, so he didn't care where his dad lived, or what stupid house they were moving to. In truth, it was a lovely little house, small, but just right for them. And pretty much all his dad could afford just then. Tristan went off to school that September, and was sorted into Slytherin, where he made friends and a bit of a reputation as being someone you didn't mess with. He is a good kid, and has a heart of gold underneath his attitude, which becomes less frequent the older he gets. He seems to be realizing lately that his anger isn't all that there is to life, and his mother doesn't deserve to be the reason for him acting like a jerk. He gets on better with his dad these days, and is now in his final year of school. He's become quite ambitious, and hard working, and wants to be a success, using his outspoken, driven ways to win him a respectable job and things that he can be proud of.
