Killian is a heartbreaker and he knows it. Standing at an impressive six feet and two inches tall, he is literally head and shoulders above the crowd (in attitude as well as appearance). His body is very slim and lithe, and well looked after. He likes to keep himself in shape, though keeping up with Flying lessons is workout enough for him, really. Despite his British (sun-less) upbringing, Killian will never be seen to be pale, and his skin always has a warm glow about it. He adores having a deep tan in the summer months.
Killian has a very pretty face. A lot of guys would complain about this, grumbling about looking too girly, but not Killian, he's well aware of his beauty and how it seems to attract women like bees around honey. It's slim, almost delicate, with a, well, to be frank, with a cute nose, and full lips which hide a huge, cheeky smile, full of perfectly straight, white teeth. That smile makes him look much younger than he actually is, and his inner child is completely on display when he laughs. Killian's eyebrows are thick and dark, arching in an all too girly way to the point where some people have questioned whether he plucks them or not. He doesn't. Beneath his eyebrows, sit rather large, expressive eyes in a wonderful shade of greeny-blue. They can look aqua in some lights, and he does get a lot of compliments on his eyes, especially since they're framed with long, dark lashes that make plenty of girls envious. His hair is long and thick, shiny and luxurious to the touch, in a warm shade of medium brown. He keeps it long, often running his hands through it as it falls about his face a lot, occasionally he will get it cut a little shorter, or let it grow to his shoulders, it depends entirely on his mood.

Swimming lessons were a bit of a terror for Killian, as he had a scare when he was five. He was learning in the pool at home with a float, and lost his grip on it, rolled under the water, and couldn't right himself to find the surface. His dad had to jump in and get him, and it sort of put him off swimming for a few years. He's fine swimming now, and actually enjoys it, but that memory of almost drowning is lodged firmly in the back of his mind every time he's in water.

Eagle. Killian's happiest memory is the day he got the position as Keeper on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. He was in his fourth year, and it was something he had been wanting for years, so when he actually succeeded, he felt like he was walking on air for months afterward. He still feels lucky to be on the team, to this day.

Killian is a very dynamic person. He doesn't do anything by halves and even if he's in the laziest of moods, he'll put a lot of effort into lounging around as thoroughly as possible. He's solid, reliable and has an overwhelmingly strong sense of who he is that is plain for all to see in the way he carries himself and presents himself to the world. He always seems to know what he's doing, and has an innate ability to convice others of this fact with little to no effort. People tend to trust him without a second thought.
Fiercely loving and kind, he's a very family oriented person, seeing close friends as family, too, and he's very protective over the people he loves. He can be fiery and a little bit temperamental with those close to him and complete strangers. Polite as he is, he sees no reason to pull any punches with someone he's probably never going to see again, so he can be quite abrupt with those he doesn't know. It's all part of his charm though, as you always know where you stand with Killian through his sensible honesty.
Killian is only young though, and, mature as his sense of responsibility is, he has an extremely playful streak, and loves to party and be surrounded by friends. He has no trouble striking up conversations with strangers, and getting girls to fall at his feet, and he's never more relaxed and happy than when he's in the middle of a dance floor without a care in the world. He doesn't get many carefree moments in his day to day life due to the fact that he's in his final year at school and is "supposed to be focused" (according to his parents and teachers), so he makes the most of it when he does get a chance to let his hair down, so to speak. He is highly intelligent, and learns thing easily enough, when he bothers to apply himself, but his competitive streak ensures that he does do his best in lessons, which is why he is in Ravenclaw, and not Gryffindor, as a lot of people think he should be. His desire to be the best landed him in Ravenclaw, and he honours that as best he can.

Killian was born into a family of wealthy purebloods, and had everything he every wanted from a young age. His mother quit her job in France when she was pregnant with him and gave it all up to settle back in England in the family manor they had occupied before. It was a miracle that Killian even existed, as his parents had been told that they were medically unable to concieve a child, to their utter horror. This being the case, Killian was treated like a Prince, never wanting for anything, they went to every length to ensure his happiness and doted on him to the extreme.
Abraxas and Corona Vaile weren't stupid, however, they raised their son to respect the money they spent on him. Were sure to instill a strong set of values in him and taught him that he would have to earn his way in the world, fearing that he would become a rich brat and waste his life. Killian has always been grateful for this, as he sometimes finds it easy to get swept up in things, and often wonders what he would have turned out like if his parents weren't such strong, good people.
Hogwarts was the greatest adventure in Killian's eyes, and he couldn't wait to get there, his first day being so overwhelmingly exciting to him that he actually threw up. He was so eager and quick to learn, that lessons were particularly enjoyable for him, and he was determined to do well and please his parents and professors. He still does, to this day, though the excitement has maybe worn off a little.
