For a woman in her forties, Amelia has aged exceptionally well. She has deep auburn hair that, at times, seems to not want to cooperate. Amelia tends to pull her hair back because it bothers her by the end of the day. Her eyes are very expressive orbs of blue with hints of green, and they are definitely her best feature. She is relatively tall, standing at 5'9," and she has a slim figure.
On a day to day basis Mia isn't all that obsessed with getting dolled up. Because of her profession, she does keep herself presentable. Normally, she can be seen in some sort of suiting. Her wardrobe is comfortable, simplistic, and sophisticated. For makeup she doesn't wear all that much save for some eyeshadow and mascara. Again, she doesn't like spending too much time on herself in the mornings when she could be doing more productive things.

Sometimes Amelia's personality is extremely hard to swallow. She is controlling, demanding, high maintenance, and extremely arrogant. Her dominant character trait would have to be her intense need to control everything. Whenever she does not have control of the situation she tends to get frustrated and even a bit unstable. She highly exceeds what people would call a 'control freak.'
Her father was a highly wealthy CEO of a very successful industry in the wizarding world. Amelia's family never struggled with money. This has caused her to become very stuck up and arrogant. She has a bit of a superiority complex and strongly believes she's better than everybody else.
Even though she comes off as very confident and sure of herself Amelia is actually quite insecure. She never really trusts her talents and tends to sabotage any competition she might have or make the odds be more in her favor. She hates to lose and for some reason she doesn't believe she can really win without playing dirty. Even her marriage was an attempt to climb the social ladder. Her whole family has played the 'manipulation game' to get their way, so that's the only way she believes she can succeed. Unfortunately, she doesn't realize she could do better if she relied on her own intelligence and ambition.
The only time she has ever revealed her softer side is with her two kids and to Jasper. deep down Amelia really does have a loving and maternal side. When she is around her children she is a good person and does whatever she can to provide a stable home for her family.

Amelia Grace Frost was born on the twenty third of May to Michael and Sarah Frost in Northern Ireland. She was their first child of two. Mia didn't live in her hometown for very long, and not long after her second birthday, her parents moved to London. For the most part, Mia's parents were never home; they were always busy at some sort of social gathering. At first, the girl hated not getting the attention she craved. Every time her parents came home Mia would rush to greet them and try to tell them about something she had done that she was proud of. Usually, they were too tired to indulge her and simply brought her back presents hoping that they would appease her. It didn't take long for Mia to get over the fantasy that her parents would spend 'quality time' with her, and she learned to take care of herself at a very young age.
Most of her days were spent in her parents' study, reading about history, spells, and different plants. Music also became somewhat of a savior during her lonely childhood years. Her mom and dad had a beautiful grand piano, but it was just for show and nobody played it. Mia found that very sad, and she read up on how to play and taught herself. It became very clear that she was an intelligent girl, and when her mom and dad saw how well she played the instrument for being self taught, they invested in professional lessons.
The girl had to occupy herself for nearly seven years without much company, and then her baby sister was born. Amelia was very excited to finally have someone she could play with. She was a very proud and protective older sister, and the two girls are very close to this very day.
At the age of nine, she started showing signs of having magic which pleased her parents. She was very excited at the idea of going away to Hogwarts to learn about magic, and when her eleventh birthday arrived she jumped for joy when her acceptance letter arrived in the mail. The day of the Sorting Ceremony, she was terrified of being put in Hufflepuff. Everyone in her family was either a Slytherin or Ravenclaw, so she figured she had an obligation to be put in one of those houses. Her apprehension was eased when the Hat confidently placed her in Ravenclaw.
Mia was a very bright girl, and she really excelled at Hogwarts. Her favorite classes were Transfiguration, Potions, and Charms, but she enjoyed learning new things from all of her classes. In her fifth year she was prefect and when her seventh year rolled around she was made head girl. Amelia was every professor's dream, but she was a nightmare to the other students. She was a sneaky, conniving girl who had to get her way.
The summer before her seventh year, her parents went on vacation to France with the Marshall family. Both were prestigious pureblood families who came from old, old money in the wizarding world. The families wanted Mia and the Marshall's oldest son, Nicholas to eventually wed. She wasn't sure about the idea of an arranged marriage, but her parents expressed how much it would please them. The two of them hit it off, and it didn't hurt that he was extremely handsome. By the end of the summer, the plans for the wedding were made, and once Amelia finished her seventh year they would be wed.
As her final year at Hogwarts came to an end, Mia realized she didn't really want to marry Nicholas anymore. When she expressed this to her parents, they yelled at her and said she couldn't back out now because it would bring humiliation to the family name. The girl had to bite her tongue and go through with the wedding. After their wedding night, Mia's doubts went away for a little while. The two of them made a good couple for the first few years, but she started getting tired of him after that. When she was with him, she felt caged, and Amelia hated that feeling. Her childhood had felt like a cage, and she wasn't about to escape one prison only to find herself stuck in another one.To escape, she applied for the open teaching position as the Potions Professor and got the job. Amelia was a very good teacher. She was strict, could maintain control of the classroom, and obviously knew her subject exceptionally well.
About eight years into her job, Amelia found herself pregnant with her first child. She was terrified because, in her mind, this meant she was stuck in this sham of a marriage for the rest of her life. It would be extremely difficult to get out of a marriage without complicating things once children were brought into the picture. The minute she gave birth to her daughter, she realized it wasn't a bad thing at all. No, in fact she fell in love with her little girl and vowed to be a good mother to her. Amelia wasn't going just abandon her like her own mother did. A year later she had a son which made her husband happy. Mia grew to be a viciously protective mother over her children, and she'd be willing to risk her life for them at all cost.
After she finished having children, Amelia returned to Hogwarts. It took her some time to re-adjust to teaching, but once she got back into the flow of things things ran smoothly. Things continued to run smoothly until a certain student entered Hogwarts' doors.
Jasper Flint. Amelia caught wind of his infatuation with her early on, but she didn't really pay any attention to it. She was relatively young at the time, in her thirties, so she figured it wasn't a big deal. As he got older, however, the whole situation began to make her feel uncomfortable. Not only was she old enough to be his mother, but she was also married with two children. That didn't stop her from finding his interest in her intriguing. In fact, she found herself drawn to him in a strange sort of way despite the fact it was wrong for so many different reasons. The boy was bright, intelligent, and handsome. It was like a curse on her, and she couldn't get him out of her mind. When he openly pursued a relationship with her, she didn't know what to make of it. At first, she rejected the idea and told him it was highly inappropriate, but that didn't stop him. Her ability to maintain control over herself began to fail, and she admitted she felt something for him as well.
Their relationship was the complete opposite of what she had with her husband. It was passionate and to some extent violent while Nick and her had practically moved to separate bedrooms. In the back of her mind, she felt like a horrible person for doing this, but she was so consumed by him that she didn't care. When his graduation loomed around the corner, she promised him that they'd run away together. She meant it wholeheartedly at the time, but when the time came she couldn't bring herself to do it. Her family would disapprove, and her children loved both her and Nicholas. Taking them and running would be unfair to them. Even though she was taken with Jasper, she couldn't risk losing the security she had built over the years.
Following their tumultuous love affair, Amelia was a bit of an emotional wreck. She hated Nicholas more and more everyday because he was a constant reminder of what she was missing without Jasper. It seemed that her life was spiraling out of control. Even though it was apparent his wife had gone insane, Nicholas stood beside her. She realized her behavior was only hurting her family, and she began to put herself back together piece by piece.
Amelia dedicated her life to making her home stable for Victoria and Caleb which meant attempting to repair the broken relationship with Nicholas. The couple is by no means perfect, but they are much better than they were years earlier. He knows nothing about the affair she had with her student, and she doesn't plan on telling him anytime soon...if ever. She still thinks about him constantly, and she knows it's only a matter of time before the whole situation truly explodes.
