While all the members of the Connors family are beautiful, with the ladies known for their flaming red hair and the men recognized for their tall builds and chiseled looks, there is something striking about Ember that is hard to forget. She stands at an impressive height of five feet, nine inches, an impressive height for someone her age and a rather optimal height for someone in her profession. She is nicely built, thin and willowy, yet still feminine with curves in all the right places. She may not be voluptuous by any means, but she has soft curves where she needs them that make her perfect for her career. She weighs in at a simple 124 pounds, a weight that she maintains with a steady diet and her constantly busy schedule. She is also fond of a daily run after classes, an exercise that allows her to keep her thin physique and doesn’t require as much effort in gathering equipment. She has beautiful red hair that reaches down in to the middle of her back in a shade that is similar to the other women of her family, the long locks usually holding a soft curl to them, though she is known to change it up every once and awhile and wear it straight or up. She is very proud of her long hair, happy with the attention and opportunities that come with her unique shade, and she takes very good care of it.
To go along with this unique hair color, Ember has eyes the color of ice, giving her a striking appearance and perfectly matching the attitude that she carries. While working, she can be seen with an array of expressions on her face, a different emotion whenever needed and an ability to change her expression at the drop of a pin. When not working however, her face can be seen with a look of disinterest, her eyebrows lowered and her eyes half-closed, a completely different look than what she can be seen with while on camera or on stage. When it comes to clothes, Ember is extremely fashionable when not wearing the standard uniform that is required at the school of magic, something that she gets from her mother. Being a model, she cannot allow herself to look like a slob, so she is always dressed in the height of fashion, no matter how painful or uncomfortable the clothing or shoes may be. Because of this, she has a vast collection of heels, flats, and boots, as well a large assortment of dresses of different shades and types, as well as a plethora of fashionable jeans and skirts. She has several pairs of sweatpants and shorts, as well as a few tank tops, but they are strictly running clothes and are not used as anything else. There is not a single item in her closet that is ratty or full of holes; everything is well put together and complete.

It was Ember’s first play and she was only a young child, but she would never forget how nervous she was to perform for an audience for the first time. She only had one line for the entire thing, seeing as she was so young and inexperienced, and she had been practicing constantly to remember that one line. However, when the time came for her to say her single verse, she blanked and totally forgot it. It the worst she had ever felt and she has never been so mortified since that time.

Wolf – Having her parents actually pay attention to her for the first time was probably the happiest she’s ever felt in her life, other than getting a lead role in a play or working for her mother.
overall personality[/i]
To be frank, Ember is quite the character. She is a student who is well-liked by her professors, always punctual to turn in her assignments and a good-listener in class. She is friendly to those that are needed of an answer to their questions that are too afraid to ask for help, but she is quiet at all other times and doesn’t say much. She is intelligent and witty, and she is always there to give the correct answer when needed; she is the model student. She is also a model daughter, trying hard to live up to all the expectations that her parents have for her, even though there really aren’t many. As the only child in her family, she is often spoiled now that she’s older, and her parents are happy to let her be whatever she wants to be. The only real expectations they have for her is that she follow everything they say and be a perfect little angel, just as they raised her to be. However, unknown to her professors and parents, she is not exactly the nicest student on campus. While she doesn’t really talk much outside of having to answer a question or putting on airs for a figure of authority, she can be rude and harsh when she does speak. She is not a character known for being kind and she is certainly not a girl known for her friendly attitude.
When around her friends, even though she doesn’t really have many, if any, she is trustworthy and protective; she will do anything to make sure that those who she actually cares for are never in pain or danger. This emotion mostly applies towards her family, seeing as she isn’t the type to have many real friends, and she is fiercely protective of them, no matter how much she may seem to prove otherwise. She is a great strategist and makes sure to always follow the plan to a tee, finding it irritating when people deviate from it. She is quick to anger, so even doing something as small as not following the plan can set her off. She also has a surprising amount of strength for someone as small as she is, and she isn't afraid to punch someone when they anger her. She is also ambitious and proud; she works hard for what she wants and she looks down upon those that don’t give their all, especially when they complain about how poorly they ended up doing. You can also bet that this girl knows how to hold a grudge, hardly ever forgiving anybody after they do something that she perceives to have wronged her.
Underneath the flawed, not so warm exterior, Ember has a surprising love for acting and singing. Despite the fact that she has a dislike of large crowds and she isn’t particularly keen on talking to people, she loves the feeling of being on stage and performing, being someone that you’re not for a few hours. Perhaps it’s because she has to spend her time at home being someone that she’s not that it comes so naturally to her. Even though she has an immense fear of being on stage performing for large groups, she still loves the feeling she gets after a musical or play has gone well, the feeling of pride that she is overcome with, especially when her family is able to make it to the show. Because of her inability to go against her parents, she is unable to show when she is upset if they miss a show, even though she is extremely hurt. She just blows it off and bottle’s it up, taking it out on people around her.
Despite all of her flaws and the hate that she feels towards others, Ember isn’t a bad person deep down; way, way down. However, her best friend is and will always be her grandmother. She was always there for her as she grew up, mother’s mother practically raising her while her parents were busy with work, and she was always there to protect her if she was ever bullied or made fun of. She loves her dearly and will do anything for her; well, almost anything. She is extremely stubborn and competitive and she doesn’t like to lose to anyone, especially her grandmother when it comes to games. However, during her third year at Hogwarts, her grandmother passed away from natural causes, and Ember was devastated. She was her best friend and Ember had no idea how to grieve for the loss. That was how she became who she is today, bottling up her emotions and not showing others how she actually feels. She follows her parent’s orders with a deceptive attitude, not letting on if she agrees with them or not; for instance, she doesn’t say anything if she’s tired or feeling overworked, she just goes with it to make them happy. She is a young woman who is unsure of how to stand up for what she believes and how to give her own opinion on anything, using a frosty exterior to hide everything that she has to deal with.

history[/i]
Ember Penelope Connors was born to Emmanuel and Trinity Connors on a surprisingly sweltering day in September, midday and during the hottest hours of the day. It was the hottest day of the month and what would go on to be one of the highest temperatures on record for a September day. Many think that this extreme temperature was what caused her resulting frosty attitude, a counteraction to the hot weather of the day, but it was really only just genetics and the upside-down family life that the girl has had to live. Honestly, Ember has not really had a bad life, unlike others that roam the halls of the Hogwarts. Being the only child, Ember didn’t have anybody to compete with for want of material things, and she really couldn’t complain as a child when it came to getting the items that she wanted. She hails from a rich and renowned family, in both the muggle and wizarding world, and so she was constantly being spoiled by the parents that were never really around to help raise her. In fact, her parents were always so busy with work that she hardly ever saw the two growing up and it was grandmother that helped raise her. This lack of parental love was what led to several different aspects in Ember’s personality.
With her parents hardly ever around, Ember grew to rely on her grandmother for the love and support that was expected from her parents. Even though it was a replacement for something that should have been there and shouldn’t have to be filled, it wasn’t that bad. Ember grew incredibly close to her grandmother, who was there for her over everyone else. If she ever fell while playing in the garden, her grandmother was there to give her a bandaid and a comforting hug. When Ember needed help with her homework, it was her grandmother that took time out of her schedule to help her out. Her grandmother was everything to Ember and while she should have grown up to be more like her, Ember ended up taking an opposite turn. Even though she had a replacement for the love that she should have received from her parents, it was still only a replacement and Ember wanted her parent’s affections so dearly that she tried to shape herself so that they would love her. She copied the personality that she had observed from her mother at a young age and she tried her best to try and get their attention.
This was how Ember grew to become an actress and a model. She felt like if her parents weren’t ever around to pay attention to her, she would just have to try everything in her power to get their attention. She tried getting good grades, making them countless pieces of art, and even following behind them like a shadow. Because of her shadowing her mother, trying desperately to get her attention so she could receive the love she felt she deserved, her mother took notice of how striking beautiful her daughter was. It wasn’t long after Trinity started her own clothing line that she began using Ember as one of her models, something that Ember was all too happy to help with. As long as she was able to help her mother and spend time with her, let alone just be noticed by her, she was willing to help her with anything. Needless to say, she was a natural as a model and she was one of the most popular members on her mother’s team. Her perfect features and quiet obedience made her a perfect model, one who did whatever she was told and held whatever expression was required. Her ability to do whatever she was told was how she started acting as well. She had always been told that she would make a great actress with her way of making you feel she was really happy when she wasn’t, or how she could cry upon command, and so when she actually tried it out, she found that she was indeed fantastic.
It seemed that school came upon Ember quickly as she did whatever her parents told her, following their orders and acting the part of the dutiful daughter; she was the perfect little angel for them, but only if they or another adult were around. She had changed since she had joined the business, becoming cold and quiet, saying rude things when she bothered to talk, totally different from the child she had been. Such was the life of the little girl that grew up in the spotlight. However, she still made time for her dear grandmother, and she was her natural self when around her. She wasn’t rude or spiteful to her grandmother, she never could be. With her grandmother, she was sweet and caring, just as she would have grown up to be had she not become a model at a young age. However, everything changed when her grandmother passed. She was so stricken with grief she didn’t know how to show it, hiding her emotions away from public view instead of allowing others to see her pain, using her frosty attitude more and more. Ember is now a sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a young woman with a busy schedule; when not in school, she is often either in the theater department or with her mother, being used as a model for the latest design. She has little time for friends or anything of the sort, if she was actually able to make any with her attitude. To be honest, she is lonely and in need of at least one person, though she would never admit that to anyone. She misses her grandmother and would give anything to just have one more day with her, just to tell her that she loves her one more time and to allow herself to show emotions again.
