Jack is a handsome lad, like his brother and dad. He has a slim face, with a noble nose and sculpted cheekbones. His lips are kissable, and his smile is probably one of his greatest features. His teeth are absolutely perfect, balancing out any other flaws he has, since when he smiles it's wide and beautiful, and completely heart stopping. He also has a dimple in his chin, as well as the ones in his cheeks that he shares with his older brother, Evan. Jack's eyes are average in shape and size, but their hue is a very dark brown, almost black in darker rooms, something he gets from his mother.
Jack is often considered to look pasty in the winter, and he hates looking washed out and pale for half of the year. When the sun comes out to play, Jack tans superbly, making him look almost Spanish by the time August rolls around, which he thinks is great! He is tall, five feet and ten inches in height, currently, though he will no doubt reach six foot over the next few years, as he still has room and time to grow. He is slender, as are the rest of his family, thanks to good genes, or so his dad says. Jack's hair is thick and long. Usually he keeps it long enough to play about with and make him look like he's had an electric shock, but he loves to grow it out, and is currently growing it with the goal of having it at shoulder length, since he thinks it really suited his brother when Evan grew his out. As with his brother, Jack's hair is dark brown, with subtle highlights.

Jack was overenthusiastic about playing with some Muggle kids on a family holiday once. They were playing on roller skates, and Jack had never come across such a contraption before. Naturally he had to have a go, and went sailing over a wall that had a twelve foot drop on the other side. He broke a lot of bones that day, and had to spend over a week in some foreign magical hospital. It was terrible.

Kangaroo - Jack's happiest memory is basically just time spent at home with his family, before he and Evan went off to Hogwarts, when they were all at home together every day, having fun and going on day trips with their parents. Just simple every day things make him the happiest.

Jack is a very bright boy. He is fun-loving and boisterous, though not in your face at all. He has such a vibrant personality, it's kind of hard not to like him. He is very kind and generous, and likes to help people whenever he can, since his parents always taught him to be caring and think of others. He actually enjoys it, so it is never fake if he approaches you to offer kind words or to attempt to make you smile if you are down. He is very good at making people laugh since he has a great sense of humour and the ability to laugh at himself, too. He's no stranger to the odd joke or silly prank, though he would never hurt people purposely with it.
He is energetic, and plays on the school Quidditch team, which he loves. He's never one to sit around the common room complaining about being bored or that he can't be bothered doing things. He has a great enthusiasm for life and adventure, so he will most likely say yes to any offer of fun, unless it involves breaking any major rules or getting into trouble. Jack doesn't like trouble. He is a good guy at heart and likes to please his parents, so despite his fun-loving nature, he has never actually had a detention in all his life, and he intends to keep it that way if he can help it. He hates to be bored, though, so he will always go looking for entertainment, rather than bring other people down by complaining and moaning about it. He is a very pro-active sort of person.
He does have his bad side, of course, which mostly consists of being a bit too loud, and having his kind heart taken advantage of. He can be too generous, and people can try to use that for their own advantage, and he has to keep people around him who will point those sorts of things out to him. He can struggle to pay attention in lessons that don't hold his interest as much as others, though he does work hard and gets decent grades, which his mum an dad are happy with. He's very much a family oriented person, and while he is at Hogwarts, he sees friends as family, too, since he can't go home and have a cuddle from his mum.

Born the second son of Evangeline and Stefan West, Jack was only a year younger than his big brother, Evan, and so had company from the very start. They would do everything together, and were sort of lumped into the same category a lot as babies, since they were so close in age. His brother was always the smart, creative one, while Jack was the adventurer of the family, the entertainer who was most definitely a mummy's boy. He was clingy with Evangeline as a toddler, and though he was brave and confident with strangers, he would still need to know she was there if he needed to run to her for anything, and it took him a while to get used to not turning to her all of the time as he got older.
He enjoyed flying a lot, and would play with his dad and brother in the back yard when he was old enough to be able to ride a broom without falling off because he was too small. He used to love helping his mum draw, but he didn't have the talent for it, like his brother did, though he did love to try anyway. He wasn't one of those jealous children who envied their siblings talents or privileges. Jack was very pleased and proud when Evan went off to Hogwarts. He saw it as an opportunity to practice his writing better, sending letters to Evan at school and trying to find out every detail of what he was to expect next year. And next year came around in the blink of an eye.
Jack loved the train journey with his brother, and his jaw ached from grinning so much while the Sorting Hat sat upon his head, making it's decision. He was sent to the Hufflepuff table, which suited him fine, since he didn't see the difference anyway. All of the students were the same, why they had to be split up into different houses was beyond him. It was just a different place to sleep, in Jack's eyes. And the basement was fun! Right next to the kitchens, so he could sneak in and have late night snacks in his third year once he'd figured out how to get in. He is excited about his fifth year coming to an end now, and looking forward to entering his sixth year come September.
