Zella Harriet Moon was born the first twin, mid February on a relatively frosty valentine's morning. She was a healthy 7lb3oz and had a mop of pure black hair that didn't lighten until she was seven. She was born to two pureblooded parents, one very much a fan of pure blooded supremacy, the other not so much. Her mother had come from a family with a disgraced name in the wizarding world but she believed none the less that she was better than the others and so married the first pureblood her parents had set her up with as no one else would go near them. Her name was Harriet Zelda Fawley. They were a rich family lenient with half-bloods and muggle-borns, all though they did not marry them, they were primarily a family of Hufflepuff's and that was enough in itself to give them a tainted reputation, but Harriet's aunt had married a half-blood and produced a squib, needless to say that brought a little shame upon the Fawley name, all though they would never openly admit such a thing.
Zella's father was Henry James Moon the third. He was born from a strict pure blood family and yet he had been different, he had not believed in such things as blood purity and had been a disgrace to his family. They married him off as soon as they could to Harriet, despite his displeasure but he was an only child and stood to inherit everything from his parents and he knew that was important as they owned and had kept some very important things of his, things that had meant the world to him growing up and he hated the thought of anyone else having them and besides, he knew he wasn't the best looking guy and he knew his parents were a little older than most and didn't really want to go upsetting them too much. He was a thoughtful and smart man and cared only for his studies really, relationships and what not didn't really interest him so why not settle down and provide for a family? He needed to do something with his earnings, right?
Henry was a little older than Harriet by six years. He'd settled into his job well and she stayed at home, keeping the house and providing meals and lunches for Henry to take to work. The family dynamic was easy going and neither had much to complain about, that was until there was pressure for an heir. The two talked and decided that it was time to perhaps start a family. Harriet was 24 and Henry was 30 when they started trying though nothing happened for years and they weren't really putting in too much of an effort. Finally a healer confirmed to the couple that they were pregnant when Harriet was 32 and Henry 38. It had been a long time and then a miscarriage occurred, the couple were disappointed, all though neither had really been looking forward to being parents it sparked something within them that they hadn't realised was there before, they actually wanted a family of their own.
Just a few short months after their miscarriage it was confirmed again that the couple were pregnant, a couple of months later it was confirmed it was twins. A little further down the line and the couple were told to expect girls and from that day on they had names picked out. Zella Harriet Moon for the eldest and Zelda Henrietta Moon for the second born.
Zella grew up quite a mellow child in the sense that she didn't fall into her mother's pure-blood beliefs. As much as their father disliked heir mother teaching them such things he could have little to do with how they were raised, he was at work too much and only saw his daughters for an hour when he got home during the week for he had left the home in the mornings before anyone of the stirred and arrived home and hour before the twins bed time. Still he spent weekends with them and once a year the family would take a two week holiday over seas to different places to experience different cultures and to enjoy themselves as a family. Though the couple agreed on one thing, just two girls was more than enough for them.
Zella's first signs of magic came when she was seven. Her hair was a mousy-brown when she went to bed and in the morning, after a rather vivd dream of an ice cream world, it was very blonde. Somehow it has stuck with her ever since then. She is not a metamorphmagi and no matter what her parents did or healers for that matter, nothing could change her hair back. It was a rather unique experience but Zella loves her unchangeable hair. Not even hair dyes both muggle and wizarding would affect the blonde.
Having come from a Slytherin mother and a Ravenclaw father it was presumed the twins would end up in those houses. Zella was close to her father and Zelda close to their mother, falling in line with her pure-blooded beliefs and as such it was thought Zella would be a Ravenclaw and Zelda a Slytherin. Well they were half right. Zelda became a Slytherin but before she was sorted, Zella had been sorted and placed into Slytherin too. Zella hadn't cared where she'd gone because she knew she'd make friends wherever she was and whatever house they were in, she didn't hold to house boundaries.
Having grown up with a very placid father Zella learnt to manipulate early on, he was easy to get around and his punishments never lasted, especially when flashed big doe like eyes of hazely brown. Zella's cute, rounded face was not something anyone could ever stay mad at, least of all her father. Her mother on the other hand was a lot more difficult to manipulate and there in laid the challenge.
At Hogwarts Zella made friends easily and got on other people's nerves just as easily. She was outgoing, loud and loved a bit of attention, her sister on the other hand preferred to bitch and make snide comments, Zella however was a straight shooter and liked to tell it like it was, she didn't believe in lying to get what you wanted, her father encouraged honesty, a lesson it seemed only Zella took to heart.
Now in her sixth year after having just turned seventeen on valentine's day, she's very much involved in her studies and quidditch. She loves her friends dearly and enjoys quidditch playing in the position of chaser, she's a little bit of a rebel but feels that she's someone that can be trusted. She knows what she wants in life and will strive to get to where she wants to go. She's eager to prove that she knows the difference between right and wrong and is directing her life towards crime fighting, working for the ministry, she hates that there's a war on and wants to try her hardest to do her best and fight against the wrong doers making the world a disgrace.
